Keep in mind that I would likely not be ordering a ton of stuff from Amazon. I would likely be using the Kindle book share and instant video feature more than anything else.
$80 per year seems like a steal, but are the people who are using it getting their money's worth even if they're not ordering a lot of things online?
PAFC Top 10 Finisher in Seasons 1 and 3. 2nd in Seasons 4 and 5. Final 4 in Season 6.
Yes. Absoultely. Think of what you gain access to. Provided you've got a solid internet connection where you'll be watching, it's undoubtedly worth it.
Also assuming they've got stuff you want to watch, of course.
it's awesome, i only order 6-10 things a year from amazon but it's worth having for the instant watch alone, especially since they added streaming to 360/roku/etc
I love it for the 2 day shipping and Kindle part. I watch the instant videos periodically but if you've got Netflix there's a lot of redundancy between the two. When the holidays roll around I make up what I paid for the service in free shipping so it seems like a steal for that. It has kind of spoiled me since I only order things that have prime shipping now.
Yes! I love amazon prime, I don't think I could go back to not having it. It is probably worthwhile for the other bits too but as others have said, once you get spoiled by the shipping (it's next day here) you'll find it even more useful.
I got Prime two years ago by splitting it with a friend. Now I find myself so lazy that I'll order everything I don't need immediately from them. The streaming and Kindle things may be worth it to you, but you'll end up ordering more things from Amazon just out of laziness.
I had to get Netflix since the Prime streaming selection is so horrendous. However I still have both of them...but I think Prime is worth it just for the shipping.

If applicable, also consider how much you usually spend on shipping things during Christmas time. Prime pretty much pays for itself that month alone for me.

That was what finally got me checking my student email.

Yeeeah. Sometimes it's easier to just get something shipped in two days than to run to the store.
I really got in trouble once I started ordering some groceries on amazon.
