Fighting games based on anime are usually pretty good barring examples I probably know of but buried deep in my subconcious. As long as you let people beat on one another that you want to see beat on one another, the audience will be happy. Especially if its an action show....although......
If anyone cares Doug Walker (aka The Nostalgia Critic) is watching the original series of Avatar to prepare for reviewing Last Airbender and is making a vlog for each episode. He seems to love it so far.
Fighting games. Some of the naruto fighting games.
yeah but i dont want an avatar fighting game, it would feel really weird to me to watch a bunch of characters from a kids show that I liked beating each other up

but
they already beat each other up all the time in the show
they already beat each other up all the time in the show
yes and no?
Like, they fight a lot in the show but its usually for a reason
No matter the premise a fighting game tries to establish, it boils down to the characters fighting because it would look cool to see them beat each other up and something about Tenzin wailing on Bolin for giggles bothers me I guess
I'd like to see a good avatar video game, and I think the avatar world lends itself to any number of genres (including a fighting game), but I don't really want to a game that stars any of the avatar characters

It looked like they were invading the real world, what with the other benders fighting them, too.

Picture this:
- Three-on-three fights
- Side-steps like Rival Schools, super jumps like MvC
- 3 button attacks (light, med, hard)
- a Special button a la JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, which enables bending for benders and cool shit for non-benders. Benders get elemental effects on normal attacks (like, a sweeping kick by a waterbender adds a water whip, increasing range)
- Special button for non-benders depends on their specialty. Sokka throws his Boomerang, or something. Asami enables her Repulsor Gauntlets.
- A create-your-own-bender with a World Tour / Character Training Mode
- Probending Mode + Tournament Campaign
- Fight using the Gaang and the New Kids on the Block

Surely with Avatar games the obvious thing would be to do a 3v3 sports game focused on that bending sport in the first book?
I mean that was cool, has a ton of little teams you could base a story mode around without fucking with cannon and has the possibility for some fun non-cannon teams (like Aang and his buddies).

Easily the best reviewer of that whole group. I've never failed to laugh during any of his in character skits.
