Problem running Ticket to Ride on Steam

I just purchased Ticket to Ride on Steam, after hearing so much about the board game and really wanting to play it. It was only $10, so I figured why not.

The game refuses to work. Whenever I start the game, it pops up a window, and I can hear music play for a bit, but it's just a black screen. On the games website, it says this usually means you have an outdated driver, but my drivers are all up to date.

I've got no problem playing games with higher requirements, like Team Fortress 2, and I've read online of people with my same video card playing Diablo 3, so I have no idea what to do.

I've got a Dell Inspiron 9400 Laptop. Video card is an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. I'm running Windows 7 32-bit. I know it's an old laptop, but like I said, I run every other game fine.

I'd really appreciate some help with this, as I'm dying to play this game.

We are human, after all. Flesh Uncovered, after all.
