So, I'm babysitting for a friends 6 year old boy this summer. His grandma bought him a 3ds for his birthday and I'd kinda like to get him a game for it but I know jack shit about what a little boy would like/be able to play.
Requirements: DS or 3DS, not that expensive, light on reading or no reading as he's not so hot in that department right now so pokemon is right off the list.
I'm not sure about all the games he has, some Phineas and Ferb game, Plant vs Zombies, and a circus trainer game of some sort? He has a few others but for the life of me I can't remember what they are.
So H&A, please help the eternally child free maternaly impaired person buy a present for a child.

I have a 4 year old cousin who adores playing Kirby on Wii. I know there are a couple Kirby games on DS, but have no idea how difficult they are.
Seconding Mario games. Mario Kart would be good. Star Fox too. Maybe one of the Lego games if he is familiar with any of the franchises they are based on. Or even if he isn't.

Just got back from a friend's house who has a 5-year-old and I would like to reinforce that whole Mario games thing Double Chris is on about. They have an original NES that they use for Marios 1-3, and it's like looking back into my childhood. If you can get those games they're fun, simple (well, to a degree), and nostalgic.
And it seems like all is dying, and would leave the world to mourn
