    RE: The Walking Dead Gameplay

WTF is The Walking Dead by TB (spoilered for obnoxious youtube size)
I'll give it credit though, it looks less tedious than the gameplay I experienced from the Jurassic Park game. Plus I l-o-v-e, love the art style of TWD game.

    RE: Trolling Daily Deals

I actually really like the Avernum that was on sale a few days ago. But other than that... yeah... Straight Trollin'

It is infinitely better and more enjoyable to play than Jurassic Park. And the art really is beautiful, especially in motion. They nailed the comic book feel.

Ah, it stinks, it sucks, it's anthropologically unjust

Anyone has a solid info about when the summersales are going to start? I read about 15th of juli. Anyone has better information? I'm starting to think there is a possibility of no summersales this year, since previous years there was always solid information when it was coming.

Well, I'm glad the sale hasn't started now... We had a terrible storm blow through a few hours ago, and have no power. Best I can tell we may not have power for days at this rate.

Woo welcome to the club. We said screw it and went and got drunk last night then slept on couches because the upstairs was unbearably hot.

Guys, I've got to let you know that @Kirbith is not only classy, but transcendently classy. He gave me a copy of Portal for a friend that's not even on the PA forums! Read the last sentence again, but then skip over this one. He's that classy!

Y'know how @HiT BiT is our Michelangelo?

He's also very, very damn classy. He just gifted me the new Indie Royale! I wish I was talented enough to create an art piece in his image, but I'm sadly not. Thanks again man! :D

Whoops! *embarrassed* I have to admit that I have problems with online protocol regarding gender under anonymity/handles. It's weird to always ask people upfront, but then I get into these kinds of situations where I just judge based on a probability heuristic... and occasionaly find myself being wrong. My sincerest apologies for assuming.

I don't know why, but the open world hub in LEGO Batman 2 makes me think about Gex for some reason.
    Also it's amazing.

The more you post it the less patience I have to finally play it!

At least I'm at level 4 in the original Lego Batman out of... 36 I think, not counting freeplay and bonus levels of course ;)

There's never been official info on when a sale is coming. Valve has always tried to keep this sort of thing quiet. According to the Cubemen developer the sale starts sometime in mid-July. Also, SpaceDrake of Carpe Fulgur posted in this thread that (paraphrasing), "the sale is coming, have patience" possibly implying a later date for the sale than usual while confirming the existence of a sale. Very crafty.

Remember, Valve has also recently hired a psychologist. I'm sure he's getting some fascinating data on us from Valve changing the "traditional" (can you have a tradition after only two times?) starting period for the sale away from around the 4th of July. Welcome to the maze, fellow mice.

I am inclined to spend my money now. I will be less inclined if it isn't next week. My backlog is huge, so I don't need to spend money right now. I can always take a laptop with me during Christmastime while I am on vacation and do purchasing then. It's the same thing with Torchlight 2. Even though they have my money already, I'm a little annoyed that they can't just announce the release date. Zeboyd announced a date and said screw it, we're releasing -now-. Much money was made and there was much rejoicing.

While not Steam, does anyone have a thought about The Whispered World over on GOG? It's on sale, and it looks interesting (classical animated adventure game style) but the reviews seem middling. Anyone have any personal experience with the game?

Played it. I play point and click games a lot, and I remember that I didn't like the puzzles. Many obvious solutions didn't work, and to find the correct ones, you had to just try every possible combination. Other than that it's not bad if you like these sort of games.

Oh crap. I remember someone from this thread saying they beat Precipice of Darkness ep. 1, but then had problems running 2. Apparently I have the same, or at least a similar issue now: ep. 2 hangs at launch on my PC. Weak sauce.

If you're running Windows 7, put the game's executable on your desktop, right click it, select properties, compatibility tab, and set it to run on Windows 95 compatibility. I've heard that works.

I've since solved the problem thanks to this excellent PA thread. What you suggest here works, but that thread also has a more focused solution that I prefer. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone else looks. Thanks anyhow!

Clearly Gabe Newell originally got the idea for Steam from Fallout vaults.

Looking at the new Indie Royale page, I can't figure out how I haven't heard of Gundemonium. I love Jamestown to death and I was kind of resigned to never again playing anything of its caliber on PC. Has anyone tried it?
