Hello,
I've been working really hard on losing weight. I've lost 164 lbs so far. I started at 576lb and am down to 412lb as of today. I'm tired of missing out on my life - I sacrificed my twenties on the altar of fast food. That was supposed to be the best time of my life and I barely remember any of it because its all a blur of baconators, inactivity and sadness.
I do better when I have goals, though. I've been to every PAX East thus far, and I love it. It is always the highlight of my year, which makes it both wonderful and sad, since I have to wait another year to meet up with my friends. My goal this year is to be under 300lbs by PAX East (March 22nd is the rumor, not sure if there is anything official but that doesn't matter). The point of this post is - I'm trying to find that clock Robert had behind him in "The Office" episode of PATV. I want to have the same thing on the wall in my apartment, to help me remember my goal. I can find a bunch of dinky novelty clocks by Googling, but I just want a big cloak with a bright counter, always reminding me.
Does anyone know where I might find something like that? I did email Robert but he is a busy guy so I figured I'd try here as well.
I have to do this. I'm not losing another year to this.
Thanks!

Seems like these guys would have what you're looking for - Kera Technologies. Never heard of them, just Googled "wall mountable programmable digital counter".
About a month or two now, I made a similar decision to the OP, that it was time to stop sitting around and saying I'd change my life, and instead do it. I'm in the process of losing water weight and fluxuating, just going on walks to start - I went from 456 lbs to sitting around 441 now, depending on the scale.
I'm currently using Allsport GPS to track my walking and MyFitnessPal to track food intake, but the latter is really unintuitive when you have to add each piece of your meal individually. How does fitocracy compare to that? And will such a program help get me into strength exercising? Right now I'm just doing cardio, 45+ minute walks as often as I can find time.

Fitocracy is purely for keeping track of your exercise. It doesn't do calories spent or food tracking or anything like that. It's is more of a gamification/motivational tool than anything else, and there are multiple PA groups for it. You pretty much just enter your workouts and get points, achievements, and levels for them. I joined more or less as a side effect of joining with the PAX weight loss groups then the other way around, but it's nice to be able to track your progress and keep each other motivated. Plus the PAX Prime 2012 group has been doing group challenges recently. I actually use MyFitnessPal with FitBit(which can sync with myfitnesspal and my wifi scale together) for tracking calories and exercise myself.
With myfitnesspal, I find almost everything I ever eat in the database already, and decent estimates for home cooked stuff that I usually just roll with and call it good. It usually only takes maybe a minute or two after a meal using my phone. I figure at -1000 calories a day, I'm figure I face a bigger risk of just getting sick of the tedium and quitting if I calculate all my recipes to the calorie, than the risk I face by being off by 100 calories or whatever at the end of the day using the built in estimates.
As for strength training, I am the worst possible person to ask as I have multiple congenital heart defects which more or less prohibit me from doing much, if any, strength training. I'm pretty much doing 100% cardio. While reading up on all this, I hear a lot about a training program(as in routine, not as in an app) called Starting Strength as a decent place to start with strength training, but like I said, I've never done anything with it myself.

I wish I could help on the clock, but I just have to add that as a guy who maxed out at 285 and dropped 115 lbs youre fucking amazing and I want you to know that.

Thanks! And thanks to everyone else. I'm going to check out the PAX fitness thing.
Not exactly what I wanted but better than the $300 ones I finally found that looked like the exact clock. Thanks for the help everyone. Going to finally check out that fitness thread now.

Also, I don't know if you browse the PAX forums much between PAXs, but you might find this to be of interest: http://forums.penny-arcade.com/discussion/159204/east-pax-east-2013-fitness-group#Item_307.
We also have multiple fitocracy groups going.
Also, 164 lbs? Holy crap that's awesome. Keep it up!
