I think I found the best use for the multi-frags last night. As an actual grenade they're somewhat meh, but they're great at killing things in your face since they explode on impact. Murders the crap out of phantoms more effectively than my Piranha, and made quite a few rescues possible.

You really don't need a grenade mod for the grenades to be useful. Unless I'm playing with other grenade using classes keeping an ample supply isn't that hard.
And camping on a supply box is usually the last thing you want to do. More effective to move around and go from box to box.
Finally got to test the Slayer out in Gold. I really liked him.
Biotic Slash is like a longer range Slash that can't set up its own biotic explosion. And teleporting through walls is cool.
Also...I really can't wait until we get the Omniblade mod for the Shotgun. +50% melee on the Shadow is going to be pretty awesome.
I brought up the rear on both of those matches, but the Slayer and the Cerberus Vanguard have some truly horrifying synergy
You mean set up with Smash, detonate with Slash?
I'm interested in Slayer-builds, actually. I already know that I enjoy powers which go through walls. But Charge + Ironman-palm have good synergy.
I like how you can incapacitate a whole crowd of Cannibals by killing one of them. Exploiting their neurotic gluttony. You won't even have to aim, because they'll all line up where you killed the first one.

Play with the Warfighter Mod. 2 more Grenades plus 10% more damage for your Typhoon murders all the things.

Okay, got a couple of new toys. The Acolyte makes the Drell Adept much more fun to play. Against Cerberus, my usual strategy was Pull->Reave against anything with health, and use the Carnifex to knock out shields as necessary. Now for anything other than an Atlas or Turret, the combo goes Acolyte->Pull->Reave. Knockin' out Phantoms all day, every day.
Then I picked up the Vorcha Soldier. I can't say I played him ... skillfully? But it was fun. Ignore Carnage was the right move - y/n?
Not too sold on the Indra yet, took my turian soldier an entire clip to put down a Geth Trooper. Maybe I just need to work on my aim.
Also ran into two missile cheaters in a row! Reported both! It was weird, never seen one before, then ran into two in a row. I only stayed in the first game because he held off until wave 5 or so until he started, but the other guy started wave 2, so I just took off. The first match was boring.

Yar. You've got better toys as a Vorcha Highlander.
I tried shield regen and with practically no charge. Spamming Palm Blast but the damage is anemic.
I tried all melee in fitness with max charge. Getting in their face and spamming light melee for the small invulnerable frames. They died no faster but as an added bonus i desync a lot.
It depends on the class. Most have some kind of power that works well. For instance, tactical cloak makes an excellent cancel. Charge and ballistic blades also work nicely. Otherwise A is always a fallback. You're a bit more limited if the character dodges or rolls since you have to be standing still.

Neither seems very effective on Gold.
You need to be using biotic slash more, just like with the Cerberus Vanguard and Smash. It's a high damage move that hits through walls and cover. I like to fire off a few bursts, then dash in and shotgun/melee the survivors. With a Pihrana I'm usually first place on silver. On gold you just have to be more situationally aware.
Well, that experiment is over, and the results are conclusive: Missile Launcher fucking blows. I honestly cannot imagine a worse power. The concept is great; just turn the power on, and you get a modest boost to DPS and battlefield control as missiles auto-fire at targets every 2-4 seconds. It doesn't have to deal an incredible amount of damage, and it probably shouldn't, since it's hands-free, and all that.
Unfortunately, it costs 500 shields to activate and maintain the power, it does pitiful damage, and it never, ever hits anything. Seriously, that's the worst part. If the missiles fired in a straight line, it would be one thing, but they curve away from your body, and hit everything but their targets. I would say that maybe 1 out of every 10 missiles actually hit something. Maybe.
If you're inside a building, they'll hit the roof. If there's a doorway between you and your target, it will hit the wall. It's just ... so fucking bad.

Maybe you're right. I used probably the same setup (damage, refire rate, hydra missiles) on Condor and got better results. Obviously that's because the map is way more open, though. But even then it's not that good. Occassionally you'll encounter a group of two or more enemies and stagger one, maybe two, but is that really worth the huge shield tradeoff? Even with the "15% less shield reduction", that's still 350 shields for a random stagger...
Edit:
Though honestly, I'm not even complaining. In my opinion, the N7 Soldier is completely superior to the regular human soldier. Permanent adrenaline rush and marksman, albeit a bit weaker, but also with increased magazine size? And all of that with no tradeoff? Why would I ever go with the Turian or human Soldier again? Certainly not because they have concussive shot -.-

The N7 Destroyer is amazing, yeah. I'm not complaining about the class at all. I just want the Missile Launcher to be a viable alternative to Multi-Frags. As it currently stands, they aren't even in the same ballpark. So there's really only 1 Destroyer build, with a little variation in power evolutions.

Scariest, most frustrating glitch ever: invincible Geth Hunter.
I'm playing GWG, the thing is murdering all of my teammates. I cloak, run outside, shoot a missile into the room, everything dies, we mop up a few more Rocket Troopers/Pyros.
Kai Leng: "I'm reading only one more enemy!"
It was the fucking Hunter, stuck in a wall outside. We still couldn't kill it. After five minutes of shooting bullets/powers at it to no effect (I even dropped a missile because I figured it was worth the 60k credits if I got another set of missiles in my next pack), I gave up and left the game.
However, I did get the Destroyer from the PSP I bought earlier, so at least my afternoon wasn't a total wash.

turian soldier with well-specced marksman and properly kitted out piranha slaughters everything
max marksman, max turian veteran, it disnae matter what you do with prox mine or concussive shot because theres literally never any reason to use either
just use your choked/marksmanned shotgun to snipe everything from all the way across the map

You can do a similar thing with claymore
It's pretty funny
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

On my T Soldier. Concussive shot is only really needed as a poke since it does crap for damage and Prox mine is too good not to max out..
One of my favorite classes if a little straight forward.
The thing is: What your Turian soldier does really, really well, the N7 Destroyer does better. Same goes for the human soldier.
It's really high time they buffed the underperforming classes, namely Female Quarian Engineer, Geth Engineer, Batarian Sentinel, Drell Vanguard...
And then there's classes that while performing good, they only do so with one specific build, meaning some powers and/or their evolutions need buffs as well.

Anyone fancy 4-player on 360? Got 2 of us here away to play.

I still haven't done a match with both yet! Nor one with a shockwave class with Cerberus. Max damage through walls go!

Shepard was into it; being willing ot have sex with the Consort is just one of the common threads between most Shepards, regardless of player input
I liked her, but I wish they had actually followed up on her

Meh, I don't know. Yeah, Destroyer has superior DPS.
But T. Soldier's DPS is up there too. His concussive shot works as well. Prox mine is very good and doesn't consume anything.
So...they both have something going for them.
