Solving problems is great! I love it, I seek out problems to solve just for fun. I'm so analytic and abstract it annoys the hell out of my friends.

Communication however... ugh... that's one problem that 20 years of failed attempts still haven't managed to solve.

Hey I just saw both of your videos on being a developer and I actually want to get into the business of making video games, but it seems video games are more or less going with animation type and let let other people do it. So I ask is video game development hard or is it easy due to the advance technology that happens every year?

For the younger and less experienced programmers, Game Maker is free and contains a language that basically allows you to practice all of the logic and problem-solving of programming without the rigorous syntax of actually C++ or Java.

Also, Garry's Mod...that's how I taught myself to program, and it's a great way to get immediate results from your programming. It takes a lot longer and is arguably less rewarding to make a calculator program than it is to make a giant floating ball of death that shoots fire and screams TF2 soundbytes at people, but you're still learning a language that's pretty darn close to C++.
