A few Prometheus WIP's that the camera refused to take good pictures of as well as a bunch of sketches. Comments, critiques, threats?

I am an idiot. Bear with with me until I fix my idiocy.

EDIT: I think I fixed it.

Well I think you're on the right path. You have a lot of actual studying going on in there, make sure you keep up with that.

One bit of advice I would give is to make sure you have some gesture drawing in your studies. This will help you develop more energetic figures and more confident lines. Right now a lot of the pictures you appear to be drawing from reference have very hesitant lines. That will get better with practice regardless, but gesture studies will help.

Keep at it and good luck.

I'm going to be taking a figure drawing class starting in a few days, so I think there should be some gestures in there. I haven't drawn anything from reference in about 2 weeks. I procrastinate and never finish anything. Bluh. I think I need to set some goals for myself.

As far as goals, set a deadline. Instead of setting New Year's Resolutions, set BY New Year's Resolutions. Give yourself something concrete you want to accomplish before January 1st. Draw 100 Self-Portraits, or fill a stack of sketchbooks, whatever. The goal should be measurable in some way. "I want to be a better artist" isn't specific enough. Concrete goal, concrete deadline. That's my advice anyway.

My goal, when the summer started out, was to finish "Dynamic Anatomy" by the end of summer. I think I will be able to do it, but I need to put my nose to the grindstone. I'd also like to max out some sketchbooks (at least... 100 pages) with life drawing. I've filled a few pages already. Gotta start drawing at least two hours a day, longer when I have the time.
