My SMG has an equally ridiculous barrel.
It's incredibly accurate, with very little recoil. Slightly slow to scope in, but I love it. Roughly on par with the AR accuracy, but waaaay faster.

Blargh. After just bitching about the burstfire rifle, I decided to hop back on and see if I wasn't just crazy. Topped the scoreboard in all three games.
Must've just had some off days with awful teams, I guess.
So I got enough GP to buy my combat rifle permanently, and I hurried over to the customization menu. I accidentally bought the bolt action permanently, which I don't really care for.

Something on their website says you get bonus XP when you taunt after a kill, but I haven't checked because taunts take a long time and you gonna get shot.
Edit: Also in case anyone doesn't realize it, if your sidearm has a higher +run modifier (like say a pistol or revolver) you run faster with it equipped, so that's helpful on long hauls with no enemies around.

Yep! I tend to do the finger wag after each kill. It's an extra 20ish CP/XP. It's probably also really annoying. =]

Yeah, I got that one too. Seems like the most useful one. Having a bigger HRV pool seems pretty pointless because you can only turn HRV on if the meter is full. I usually toggle HRV on and off as quickly as possible anyway, and recharge speed just lets you do that more often.
Perhaps on an organized team on vent there could be some interesting use in having a guy on your team that is set up to have as deep of an HRV pool as possible and have him just sit in the middle of your team and relay info. But, if you are running solo recharge speed is super awesome.

Depends on how much that recharge boost is. Some of those tags have bonuses that are good ideas... but have an effect of something like .5% on whatever stat they influence. It really doesn't do me any good whatsoever to shorten my reload time by .04 seconds.
There seem to only be a few tags which make any meaningful contribution. The Health Pack is one; only a +2 HP boost, but that's enough to put you out of range of single bodyshot kills from beefed-up bolt-actions.

Yeah, all the tags are pretty trivial. I'm using an HRV recharge one right now just because I love HRV even if it's just an extra 1% recharge over my already-20%-faster-than-default rate, but I think the most useful is probably the +2 clip size one. +1 damage might be relevant if your combination of mods puts your damage right on the line of one extra bullet per 200hp threshold though.

also worth noting that weaopns have a damage value that they cannot exceed
using the +damage tag on a 200 damage bolt action adds no damage, for example
I use a recoil-reducing tag, and even though it's only a small amount it's still really helpful to me. An extra 2 bullets in a clip of 30 doesn't seem as helpful to me, although for something like the bolt-action I can see it being a life-saver.

I think mine is VERY similar to @Drake's except that I use the open holo sight and I painted it metallic pink. Otherwise I think we use the same muzzle and barrel. I use a similar stock, but I don't think it's the same one.

I'm using a pretty similar SMG, but with an unsuppressed barrel muzzle brake that has slightly better spread. How do you like the suppressor?
Oh, and I'm using the second open holo as well.

I love my suppressor. Not only does it reduce noise, it also reduces recoil and eliminates a lot of muzzle flash, which not only helps you be stealthier, but also improves visibility when you are firing your weapon. It'll shave a point or two off of your damage but I think it's a good trade off.
I use it on my heavy pistol receiver too, and I'm really wanting to deck out a Combat Rifle with a suppressor setup.

Silly SMG. Put that barrel down. You're not a bolt-action.

Are refunds possible?
Guess they're still having trouble with the influx of new Steam users.
No, unfortunately they are not.
You'll like the way it shoots. I guarantee it.
I can't log in either, but it's telling me the login server connection timed out.
Think it's just the usual "servers gone crazy" stuff. When I was on last, there were only a half-dozen servers playable and they weren't even full.
simple solution: don't miss! =]
I think as his mistaken purchase shows, that's not really his strength.

Maybe the SMG is a better route, then...
But I have so many heads to pop in so little time, and that hurts, Dac.
The walls had it coming, they can't be left unscathed after all that they've seen.

You hold T to select your taunt, and tap T to use it.
It's T by default.

I got one too. It seems incredibly appropriate for my game name. Now if only I could get a teabag that's painted to look like an american flag.

Good accuracy, slight recoil, really quiet and an ok performer at range in a pinch. I love my bullet hose.
I use the Health Max tag at the moment, until I get the HRV one. I think I may swap it for a movement bonus tag for the meantime.

Nifty.
