In False Gods, in the middle of "the visions." Is this just enough of the truth to try to turn him, or is this considered to be what actually happened during their creation?
Yes.
It is mostly what happened but the motivations and results ascribed to the events are suspect at best and likely totally wrong.
It's like with the future statues of the loyal primarchs being worshipped; yes this is the result of the path the emperor is on, butt they aren't letting on that this is also the path they want Horus to join so leave the impression that Horus siding with them will change that outcome instead of creating it.
So because I am a supreme asshole, when mr dice cheater came to me to ask me not to talk to other players about it, I started videoing our conversation surreptitiously and he's basically crying for part of it. When I get home I will YouTube it for you guys. Fuck him.
This is Beakycon right? Put on by the Wrecking Crew? Yeah, people there deserve no pity.

Altmann, that airbrush thinner you posted... how big a bottle should I buy to start with?
It's a big improvement in the single player department, so yes? Also this is the tabletop game thread, but I guess we still talk about the pc games once in a while.
So I may have not recorded the conversation that I thought I did. Apparently trying to hit the record button while not looking at your phone and dealing with a fat bearded crying warham in a hotel hallway is harder than you think.

The following people are amazing and I love them: Wildcat, Timspork, Kias, Denada, susan, Sharp101, [GHSC]Ryctor, Matev, Matrias, ItBurns, Slapnuts, Dayspring, see317, and the unknown poster that sent me a box of Death Company! If you get them as Santees you should buy them amazing things!
You should have agreed not to tell people that he is a cheater. Then burst into the gaming hall screaming bad touch and claim that he tried to finger you in the hallway.

Is the airbrush like using a spray can in that there will be a cloud of paint mist floating thru the air? In other words, this has to be done outside, right?
I'm trying to decide if I could do this on the patio or if I need to be away from the house to do it. So paint doesn't get on the patio stuff.

Airbrushing doesn't have to be done outside. Usually the spray is controlled enough, and the paint droplets fine enough, that it won't float around. Depending on how fine the stream is, it may not need any sort of backing at all. When I've done it, it's been inside, though I've used some cardboard as a backing just in case anything decided to drift (or if I moved my hand unexpectedly).

Was this guy part of the Wrecking Crew, or just at an event put on by them? It's not like they haven't had members blatantly cheat in the past.
He wasn't wearing a Wrecking Crew shirt, but I think he's friends with all of those guys. To be honest, I don't know.
I'm going to play it by ear, if they allow him to play today, I'm going to write an article up on blood of kittens or something about it. The more i think about it the more it pisses me off. If someone is caught using weighted dice they should be thrown out of the tournament no questions asked. Period.
If that shit happened at adepticon or NOVA I think the reaction would be different.
Got my Chaos on today. Fortunately they had a few English copies of the codex and I indulged and spent way too much money on shit. I could get it cheaper online but sometimes you just wanna go into a store and walk home with a bag full of stuff you know. @Chrysis : They had a couple of these left too. PM me your address and I'll post it to you this week
I wish I had money and time to buy and test out new chaos stuff. I want a forgefiend(magnetized so I can swap weapons), 2 boxes of new oblits, a termi lord, another box of chaos termis and a helldrake.
This new codex has so many fun options. I might even fix my chaos bikes which have gotten 0 use out of being suck over the years.

Mutilators are just hilariously bad. But they do have 3 attacks base not 2, people forget all their weapons are paired specialist weapons. Still awful.

Their cost, being snp and only being able to have 3 in a unit makes them much worse than an equivalent pointed unit of terminators.
They are a cool idea, close combat oblits. But compared to all the other close combat options in the book they are really bad.

I generally disagree. Even if it takes a heavy slot doing so, taking 3 of them in a Land Raider to support a Termie Lord is a pretty good idea. Each of them packs two wounds, so they're more durable in that role.

For 6 points less than 3 mutliators with the mark of khorne I get 4 terminators with the mark of Khorne, 2 with pairs of lightning claws a heavy flamer and a champ with a combi and a lightning claw(can swap to a fist). This unit can shoot, has a 2+/5++. Has more attacks. And can take that landraider as a dedicated transport.
For an almost equal amount I can get mark of slaanesh and have i5 or for 2 points more I get tzeentch and have a 4++. Also can easily fit my lord in that landraider.
That heavy slot can have a havoc squad, a maulerfiend for cc, oblits or a forgefiend. All of which I rather have than my meh chaos landraider even if I love my model. Mutilators aren't bad but compared to termis, berzerkers, or even Chaos Spawn(fast, lots of wounds, tough, decent cc ability and cheaper) they really just don't make it. Especially in the super crowded elite slot Chaos has now. Chosen and Chaos termis are still pretty great for a lot of different things. And I kind of like the new possessed but I think they might be about as equal as the mutilator.
Edit: There other big issue is the T4 making instant death fodder for a lot of things. In general this isn't super bad, look at paladins. But they can get more than 3 in a squad and have some los stuff with certain HQs making them tougher. Also they can shoot while being a close combat deathstar.
Mutilators are just really burly terminators that cost almost as much as two terminators. If you nurgle them up though, they might be okay. T5 means fist no longer instant kill you and makes marines and other s4 armies putting less wounds on you with bolters and in close combat.

I still think Mutilators are better. They can do just as good a job with the Mark of Khorne, except you trade one model's worth of attacks for nearly twice the amount of wounds. It's a hell of a lot more survivable.

Honestly, I'd rather have Obliterators than Multilators. First, 6th is much more about shooting than close combat, and Oblits have some pretty amazing weapons now. Second, Oblits still have power fists, which makes them at least as potent as Mutilators in certain situations. Otherwise, the profile is the same.
The only time I can see taking Mutilators is in a Land Raider, probably as a retinue for some lord or sorcerer, but that's already 500 points for 4 models plus the character. Walking Mutilators are laughable and will likely not make it to combat against a competent opponent.

Until you go up against someone with a Fist, in which case it really, really isn't.

It isn't twice the amount. 4 termis=4 wounds. 3 mutilators=6 wounds. Minus the whole mutilators still get ripped apart by str 8 attacks just as much as termis(without a mark of nurgle). Mutilators do win on the base attacks though. 9 to 8 on the termis. But you also have to add in a heavy flamer, combis and such. Mutilators are basically assault termis but can only take smaller numbers and no storm shields. Plus they can't use their thunderhammers but once every other turn.
Also I think this comes to your local meta. Mutilators are going to be ripped up by assault termis, paladins and such. But will be great verse MEQ. My meta is full of assault termis, paladins and their equivalents. Which makes units like this a lot less awesome.

Looking forward to that video Altman, shine some light on the problem.

Durrrr. Let's see what his record is.

T4, T5 with mark of nurgle. Which makes them 61 pts a model.
Mutilators are T4, but they're Daemons so they get a 5+ invuln.
