I have recently shot some video and converted it to .avi format. Now, I would like to burn it onto a dvd to view on a dvd player (ps2 or xbox360 also). Is there some free and easy to use software to do this? I am a newb when it comes to this kinda stuff, I am unfamiliar with encoding/decoding or whatever.

    Mac? PC? Linux? BeOS?

Free? Paid? Stolen in the middle of the night by a ninja who owes you $20?

Are you looking to build menus or just have the disc play? Do you want to edit, add transitions?

    Do you like gummi bears?

    Windows XP.

I dont need any fancy transitions or anything. Just one movie. I want to be able to just load it up and hit "play movie" or whatever.

    oh and free.

And yes, gummie bears are pretty good.

Here's all the guides you'll ever need. The site also has plenty of tools uploaded that'll help you not only with the contents of these guides but with other video obstacles you might run into.
