Let's play Last Night on Earth!
It's a zombie board game, and is lots of fun.
Would need 2-6 people, but more is of course much better.

3) Move zombies (1 space each. May not move out of a hero's space. If adjacent to hero, must attack)
Zombies can move through walls
4) Fight Heroes (Roll 1d6. Hero Rolls 2d6 plus modifiers if there are any.)
4a) Zombie Roll > Hero's highest die = Wound to hero
4b) Zombie Roll = Hero's highest die = Wound to hero
4c) Zombie Roll < Hero's highest die = Zombie fended off. No damage
4d) Zombie Roll < Hero's highest die AND hero rolls doubles = Dead zombie
5) Roll 1d6 to see how many new zombies are spawned. Add that many to the play field, up to however many you have left in your pool.
Hero's Turn
1) Roll 1d6. You may then move that number of spaces OR search the building you are in. May not move through walls (thick black line)
2) Exchange any number of items with players in the same space as you
3) Fire a ranged weapon (may only shoot through walls if adjacent to the wall. it is assumed that there is a window on that wall)

Before the baby came, I used to have friends over every month or so for a game night usually consisting of this, arkham horror, cards against humanity, or whatever random thing i bought that we wanted to try. Good times. Maybe once he starts sleeping through the night we can start it up again :-D
Not holding my breath as he's only 2 weeks old right now
But it sounds fun and I like zombies and board games!

Not at all! I'm going to explain the rules and such when I'm at home and have the rulebook in front of me
Just getting the thread set up while I'm at work
Going to look for a .pdf of the rulebook in case people want to read it.
Basically when you fight the zombies, humans roll 2d6, zombies roll 1. If either one beats the zombie's roll, the zombie is "fended off". If you beat the roll AND get a double, then the zombie is sent back to the zombie pool. Lose the roll and take a wound. Too many wounds and you die (you start off with a new hero, and the zombies get to control your dead hero).
There are multiple game scenarios
The basic one is just trying to kill enough zombies before the sun sets.
There are others like trying to get gas and keys for a truck to get the hell out of town.
OK so what I need from you guys from here on out
If you want to play, sign up in green/lime/whatever so I know you're interested
Then, in blue, post whether you want to be a zombie or not
Then, in red, post whether you want to do basic campaign or something more adventurous
Braaaaaains (zombiefy me!)
No preference

Once we have full signups, I will see if we have enough for everyone to get their chosen roles. If not, there will be an epic roll-off for them
@38th Doe did you wanna play?

Preferably, human
Something adventurous
Don't have a preference here

Well, you're one of the zombies, kime, so I wasn't really all that worried about it.

-bing bong-
Kime, you will start with 2 zombies on the board.
Greenbaron, you will start with 6.
Once the board is posted, you will notice red spawn points. Zombies must be distributed evenly amongst these markers as much as possible. (You can't put a second zombie in a spot until all other spots already have 1)
Board and opening narration to come with outline of rules when I get home

Don't worry. That actually helps you out. On the beginning of every turn, you roll a d6. if the number rolled is higher than the number of zombies out on the field that you control, you roll another d6 at the end of the turn and put that many zombies out, or until you have no more in your pool. whichever comes first
