Listen I've already fucking laid out the timeline of The Big Lebowski

First it starts off with that

Then you have Big Lebowski 2: The Dude Goes to War

And then L3bowski: The Dude Goes Digital

Same thing! The cross over writes itself.

Laziness aside, there is no way that Kevin Flynn was not also a huge stoner

So something that really annoys me in AvX
Is how the Pheonix hits a shitload of planets on a straight line to earth. All of them inhabited.

Well I think that is the intentional elephant in the room

like, everyone is all "woooo the Phoenix 5 are fixing stuff!"

and then it's like, well, the Phoenix has also killed billions of innocent beings

and that's why the Avengers aren't going to just say "okay" and let things happen

it gives the Avengers a motivation beyond being sore losers

honestly, except for Lex Luthor, Superman's villains aren't that memorable

but it would be neat to see him punch a giant robot at least once in live action

Brainiac, Metallo, Parasite and (for a very unorthedox movie) Mr M. are both memorable and would be visually interesting. Lex has to be in the movie and that's fine but the dude does need someone to punch.
they should do somebody totally unexpected

    like Vandal Savage

The worlds most powerful man against its oldest and wisest.

The man of the past vs. the Man of Tomorrow.

    I love it.

@Nightmarenny, I can't express how much I love Vandal Savage. I'd vomit from joy if he showed up in a live action superhero-film.

But my question towards you would be if you'd keep him like the comics or add the invulnerable (and ever eternal) version from the DCAU?

I thought Reed was stretchy enough to catch a bullet?

He is. And that bullet was a blank. And that isn't Spider-Man.

It was an insanely overcomplicated plot to kill Reed Richards.

And, like most plots to kill Reed, it failed miserably.

Remember kids: If Dr. Doom can't do something, you can't either.

The Avengers Academy characters are the worst part of AvX. They're not bad, I just don't care about them at all.

    Hmm.

Well, I guess if you wanted to give Superman a physical challenge you'd have to give him the invulnerability or else we'd have the same situation as Luthor.

Hell, giving him powers to differentiate the plot from a Luthor movie is probably a good idea overall.

    Quire.jpg
  • ZonugalZonugal (He/Him) The Holiday Armadillo I'm Santa's representative for all the southern states. And Mexico!Registered User regular
Well I liked in the DCAU that he wasn't super strong or anything, he just couldn't die.

Because beyond any and all, Savage will endure.

And I'd like that as a foe Superman can not physically smash. He has too out-wit him.

    Ross-Geller-Prime-Sig-A.jpg
  • nightmarennynightmarenny Registered User regular
So he's invulnerable Superman can't do anything to him that will stop him and then give him goons the kind of resources a several thousand year old caveman should have by now and probably some gadgets.

You know, I can't imagine that astronaut thinking anything but
    "Whelp."

He knows that if the Punisher wants you dead, you're going to get shot. And if the Punisher has a ray-gun, then you're double getting shot.

Just gotta deal with that fact.

And he's still standing there, which means his balls probably have their own major gravitational field.

well the SPACE series is going to be a number of things set in an alternate sci-fi marvel universe

Punisher is looking for the leaders of an intergalactic crime syndicate that killed his family

they are guys like magneto, ultron, and doctor octopus

a lot of recognizable marvel characters are in it, and a lot of them are redesigned and it's pretty cool

he also has a robot sidekick named Chip and a ship named Maria

you thought you could murder a man, then escape to the international space station?

    you thought wrong

also the punisher's pose in that cover makes absolutely zero sense

What blew my mind recently was that in Mission: Impossible 4, the tower climb was all practical effects with Tom Cruise actually doing the whole thing. He even went on to top of it to pose like a boss.
