I'm going to be in the area for PAX. If someone texts me or something I'll probably wander in from the night like a half-drunk space cowboy within an appreciable time frame.

I'll make sure to email you, is it "superdick@hardlifepenis.com" or "Lifeishard@Bigdicksarentgreat.com"?
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

I'll probably be picking up a prepaid cellie dohickey at the airport at some point. I'l have to make sure my numbers around here for people to grab and such.

It may or may not also be because I don't know how to do the batsignal for people with spaces in their names!
yes, I am slow when it comes to technology.
Use quotation marks around the name, but not the bat signal.

I'll be here, as usual. Life's been super chaotic lately, so I won't be up to organizing anything more than my usual Sunday morning cheese tour (send PMs if you're interested), though I'm perfectly willing to attend fancy dinner night and general hang-out shenanigans. I've only got an actual pass for Saturday, what with the whole scalpers issue this year.
well it also lets the stinky nerds know where to meet up!
All the more reason not to plan this, have you seen the forumers? Its like a ron paul fund raiser!
pffft.
I didn't see many forumers in 2010 cause i was too shy to go around and meet people at the thai place.
this will be rectified!
C'mon Preacher! You know you wanna fix this! make it happen!
I plan on attending, I'm just shit at preparing anything. Like I met up with Richy and then later that night my gall bladder died, I don't have too many other optional organs hava.

Impossible! I thought we all looked exactly like our avatars?
For the record, I totally look like a tipsy Welsh actress.
Mrs. DoctorArch and I will be going up Friday, but probably wont be in until late. We have passes for Saturday, and will probably be open for stuff then or Sunday for brunch.

Preacher,
you still have your appendix? or your Tonsils? or your adnoids?
All perfectly optional!
besides, it's not like me or ecco drink! You can come join us at the sober area! It's really not as boring as it sounds!

Wait you expect me to be sober surrouned by nerds? Yeah that shits not happening. I wake up drinking and go to sleep drinking during PAX, the only time I'm sober is when I'm taking a piss.

well so much for me trying to be friendly! :P
oh well, drunk nerds make the best photo subjects.
PAX Dinner: What do you people want to do and when do you want to do it? As most of you know, I live in Seattle. I can do calling, organizing, all that. I can even make reservations, as long as I know how many. Get your thoughts going ASAP, we've got less than 2 weeks, realistically only a week to make reservations. I can suggest restaurants if you know what kind of food you like, but don't know any restaurants around here which serve it.
Sadly I won't be at PAX this year. Money is tight and the tickets were on sale while I was in class so I didn't get any. Have fun and take pictures for me.

There's the Mexico Cantina at Pacific Place Center. There's Wild Ginger (we'd be going to the Seattle location), on the Thai side of things. I've been to Mexico Cantina, it's very good. I haven't been to Wild Ginger before, but it's been getting good reviews. They're both not super-cheap, but Wild Ginger's on the slightly more expensive side.
There's also the Metropolitan Grill. More like a steakhouse/high-class diner type of food, but very good. Likely to be busy because of the location, though (it's right across the street from the Convention Center).
We should probably figure out how far the least-travelling person is able to travel. Dining at the epicenter of PAX is usually difficult, so we can buy ourselves a lot of comfort with a short hike.

As long as there's no griping about walking this time.
The only other good Mexican places I know of around here are El Farole, which is up on the hill and a bit far from the Convention Center, and Rancho Bravo, which isn't a fancy sit-down place (though really freakin' delicious). We've already been to Ayutthaya, which is a good Thai place up the way, though I suppose we could go there again. What other good Thai places are there around here?

I've been at the gym, so that thai place we went to in 2010 is no longer stretching my exercisable limit.
I'm up for whatever so long as it involves meat and veggies.
I remember the Mexican place. I think i went there one night in 2010. It was quite tasty! and fairly reasonably priced. Also relatively easy to get to.
hmm
I vote for mexican place. mainly because i like mexican food.
I attribute that to it being, you know, you posting in the thread, passer. :P
Hah, no, I am not special. I just sent them PMs asking them to sticky it. If you don't link them in the post or send them a PM directly, they might not see it. There are a lot of threads for them to keep tabs on.

Well I'd love to organize but I do not live in Seattle, or even anywhere close.
