Talking to @Lord Snotand he made me regret missing out on Sim City. So I went to the store to add it to the wishlist for the next sale and I've owned the game since May. LAST YEAR.
Mind blown.
Haha this is hilarious.
Wish it happened to me more often :P
While I am thrilled it won, it might end before I get a shot at it.
No matter, at least something I voted for won. Good job steam community.

Heh, I'm probably going to end up buying this before the sale ends: Portal 2 - The Final Hours. It's been on my wishlist since it first began. I can be a sucker for some behind the scenes stuff.
Current number of users logged in: Nearly 4 million.
I don't think we can really blame our little community of dozens or even hundreds (who regularly participate in the Steam thread) when some random bullshit wins.
... which is what I tell myself whenever I vote for something for what feels like good reasons and then I read a few pages of this thread and find out I have chosen poorly and should feel bad, etc.
I have no idea what this Longest Journey is, but with a 91 metacritic score and some gushing love from you guys I'll probably grab two copies.
Is Dreamfall worth getting? I see its meta rating is much lower (though still good), but haven't seen anyone here raving about it in the same fashion.
Forar on
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!
I won my first Steamgifts giveaway! Thank you classy @kogareru for Killing Floor! (Sorry about the delay. I lost track of it in my email while I was on the road for work this week.)
Was tempted to complete the Carpe Fulgar package with Chantelise, but I decided to hold it off. I'm not a big fan of the camera perspective, as they should have gone with a traditional top/down view like Recettear (which I still haven't finished).
The flash deals today were wholly disappointing, but I didn't escape without some classy gifting tossed my way. I plan to repay the generosity with a little something I'll be unleashing at precisely the moment when it will be most appreciated.
My emotional state for the day?
Very cool. Does the original Stalker look that good with the complete mod? BTW, completely jacking that gif, for obvious reasons.

Are you saying that the PA group doesnt include all 4 million steam users? Tragic....
Don't vote for Dead Island. Steam's base price is jacked up (it's 30 bucks, and is 15 bucks everywhere else). It's going to get reduced to that price and a GOTY is going to come out shortly after the summer sale.
Do you really think ARMA 2 will go on sale? The thing has pretty consistently been in the top 10 for the entire sale at 20%. Also they've paid to advertise the 20% off as well.
I'm glad The Longest Journey won, but also sad because I'm out of funds for the sale. Thankfully a billion copies of Shadowgrounds and Railworks are keeping my Steamgifts points full. I'm sure I'll eventually win something.
Edit: I have no preference in the new vote. What's the community consensus?

I bought the longest journey. I remember playing it as a kid (when it came out) and not liking it, but I get the feeling it'll be better than I remember.

Wait, there are people who might not vote for Space Marine?
Since I already own all three of the games up for vote and don't have a sentimental favorite, would the hive mind like to suggest if should vote Shogun 2 or Space Marine?
I'd like to be a voice of support for JP. The story is pretty good.
the controls range from good to "holy shit how do they expect me to do that? oh they just wanted to me fail to see their cool dinosaur eats you animation." to be fair though there was really only 1 moment like that in the first chapter, but it took me about 7-8 tries to get past one single prompt.
I believe I started this sale with about 130 Steam games. I'm now at 156..
My poor backlog glorious Game Bank™!
Fixed.
Come on, ARMA2...only 2 hours and a bit...
Come on Newell, help me help you serve yourself...?
ARMA2 needs to show up!
I'm calling it: Last day of the sale. When they know they can squeeze you for a few dollars more.
My girlfriend said the exact same thing. Could very well be that they torture us untill the last day. Or even worse, have it as the very next daily when the sales end.
Damnit who bought TLJ and Dreamfall for @Viking - I swear I saw it on his wishlist. Also, how long is TLJ, wondering if I should pick up Dreamfall if I'll be done with TLJ if I haven't started yet.
Dammit, had to be Jurassic Park. Do I get it and complete the telltale pack? Or let it slide?
it's not as good as the walking dead. they took the foundation they started with JP and refined it to get the quick reaction parts of walking dead. but the story is good and fits in and fills out the original movies mythology in a cool way.

Holy Crap. This game has some serious "losing is fun" potential.

Also getting weird after images.
I played the game with a friend for maybe 20 minutes (it was on sale during the holiday sale) and thought it was beyond awful.
What should I vote for?
