Chik-fil-GAY ... an honest discussion of homosexuality and the perils therein*
Posts
Just remember, were you family too
now come give your hairy, sweaty, Uncle Bucketman a hug
That being said I respect the rights of each business to handle their money accordingly - as long as they are following inside the laws of people we send to represent to govern those laws.
Of all this, I simply hate the lobby of religious values being forced on people by the advantage of large sums of money. That's the one that gets me. Cry religious freedom and force your views on other people? Horseshit. Let everyone else go to hell, while you ride your self-righteous elevator to heaven. (Might help if you understand your own religion too but that is a whole other basket of worms I won't get into)
Chik-Fil-A has awesome chicken nuggets with that Polynesian sauce? Good shit. Mmmm. Their name also reminds me of Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime.
AAAAHHHH
Get back in your closet Nevs. You're making all the decent people uncomfortable
WHAT THE FUCK
AAAHHHHH
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better

A world where nobody eats Chik-Fil-A sounds like a world I want to live in.
Yeah, that's about when I stopped eating there. I was kinda surprised that it was just popping up in the media again recently. Last go around, folks seemed pretty resolute to eat there and regret it because it was just so good. I mean, it's pretty much the only fast food I like for its own merits, but it's not that good.
what the fuck are you even talking about
than eat Chic-fil-a'
look, I made a protest slogan
Although, I get a pretty good feeling out of one of those huffington post articles
Same sex couples in major department store ads was not something I expected to see for another 5 or 10 years. That's awesome!
Yeah. One side of me hates all their super-religious stuff, but CFA also treats their employees better than the average fast-food restaurant (not open super-late, HS students don't have to close, the wages are apparently OK). Reality is complicated!
maybe the closet's not a bad place to be
there's presents there!
Uncomfortable would be me outing myself to my ENTIRE extended family and calling out the shit several family members have said.
And making an incredibly inflammatory facebook post and tagging -EVERYONE- who knows my parents (since I'm not sure who "tattled" on me)
And if my parents don't call me back soon, that's what I'll be doing.
You know the gays.
We love our drama.
Ah yes this is an interesting angle on the "You can't fight this thing unless you fight aallll things"
Why does trying to be accountable with your dime have to be an all-or-nothing endeavor?
What spring does with the cherry trees.
There were monsters in mine so I had to come out eventually or die :[
Steam
You're going to do it anyways, regardless of whether they call back or not, aren't you :]

Its complicated if you're not actually talking about reality.
Treating only your heterosexual, Christian employees well DOESN'T MEAN TREATING THEM BETTER.
I thought of this, but then I really felt bad for putting fast food on equal footing as gay rights
and man, fuck that
I don't know.
I guess I probably need to.
But the idea of no longer having somewhere to go on Christmas because I needed to take a stand sucks.
Then again, so does going there knowing I'm only welcome because I shut the hell up about things they didn't want me discussing.
Where's option C?
It won't be a big deal but unrelated anxiety problems make me deathly afraid of change in any sort of status quo
the best part of this scene is that the whole thing is ripped off, in large part simply verbatim, a chain email.
You just do what you need to do my friend
It really is a bloody shithouse situation to be in and I'm sending you supportive feels
Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try again. Fail again. Fail better

Shiiiiiit. That really sucks. I hope things turn out for the best, friend.
Steam
just tell them you're running a meth lab and that's your cook time
now they'll be too concerned about you being a drug lord to worry about if you're gay
Your mum is lame.
Satans..... hints.....
Sally Ride died Monday of pancreatic cancer. Her coming-out moment was apparently in her obituary. So the first American woman in space was also the first lesbian in space.
On the whole, I don't mind businesses using their exposure and market establishment to shove this kind of stuff down the public's throats. If we're going to go the whole 'corporations are people' route, it's good to see at least one company trying to use this to a positive advantage
also this
I didn't know about that stuff. I stand by what I said about treating their low-level employees better than the average fast-food place, though.
Uh, no. The best part of this scene is that it's bashing someone who is basically a clone of Dr Laura, who lost her show for being a nasty homophobe.
When I saw that clip, I think that's the first time I emailed a company/show to thank them for something like that.
There are other, sillier edits to be made here, but let's just leave it at "their food is not very good".
Yeah I have no idea what he's talking about Apple's factories are some of the best in China.
