Right Click Mac Problem (The Walking Dead)

I've been playing the Walking Dead (and loving it!) but in ep 2 I've run into a big problem. Several times the game has asked me to right click in order to exit from certain spaces. Since I'm playing on my mac laptop I only have the track pad and thus can't right click

I've tried pressing "control + click" which is usually what I do but it isn't registering in game. Apparently I can also use two fingers on the trackpad to click but that isn't working either. In fact, its not working out of game either, which is really strange. All the other finger commands work just fine but apparently not this one ffffff
I've got a macbook pro from 2008 so there's option to change how I right click with the trackpad
Sadly I can't rebind the key in the game so I'm really really stuck here

Any advice? I can't advance in the game without right clicking and I'm crying a little inside

thanks!

For the trackpad issue, your 2 fingers may be too close together when you try the 2-finger click. Alternately check the System Preferences for the trackpad because you should be able to do 2-finger click to do right-click.

I can personally confirm the two-finger right-click because that's how my mom and I have been doing it on her own MacBook Pro (older version than yours, I suspect) for years now. You should be able to just hold one finger on the trackpad and tap with another. If that really refuses to work, yeah, check your mouse settings (I don't remember what exactly those are called since I haven't looked at Mac preferences in a while) in System Preferences. If THAT isn't the problem, then I don't know what your Mac's deal is, yo. Maybe borrow somebody else's mouse at that point?

    So frustrating ='(

I don't really want to buy a mouse since I literally would never use it, I'm so used to using the trackpad and I usually play games in bed instead of at a desk.
Okay well its genuinely not working. System preferences thinks that the double tap is on and I don't know what else to do to convince it otherwise. I guess I'll just try to borrow a mouse from someone. So stupid though lol

two finger click has always been right click, not two finger tap

Could you edit the in game controls to make right click a different button on your keyboard?

or maybe a .ini file or something (I don't know what out of game editing you'd have to do)

Turn on "right click at the bottom of the track pad" in OSX settings and try that.
