i can't even get mad about the stuff JP does anymore
eventually someone will show up to do his job better than he does, both in terms of content and marketing, and we won't have to deal with his flakiness
The thing to get mad about is the fact that a changeover is not happening. Celebrity worship in this space has caused more stickiness to known qualities then you'd see in the American South.
I mean, there have been better produced shows with a tenth of the opportunity of SotG that have tried and died already. If people would hop off the figurative Day9 cock for a little while and look around everything would be so much healthier.

You could try it.
i possess neither the technical acumen, nor the equipment, nor the connections
also if i tried people would just accuse me of ripping off hotbid because that's precisely how i would talk to everyone

Dhal is going to hate me for this, but I think Day[9] would be a pretty brilliant host for a SOTG-esque show. He knows the game, he knows the players, he plays all three races at a relatively high level and the man knows how to commit to a schedule.
i actually agree
i don't like a lot of what he says but you make an excellent point about him being a good host.
I know I bring it up and rag on it a lot, but I really love SOTG. It used to be a highlight of my week, and I frequently listen to old episodes while I'm travelling about.
It's such a fucking travesty that JP is in any way associated with it.
Anytime I write a post somewhere on the internet trashing SotG's laziness and what it ultimately means to Starcraft culture you always are there to comment on it.
Across the internet we will find eachother
It's gotten to the point where I realize it's you posting on reddit without even reading your username.
So HDStarcraft just said something about DRG is the best zerg in the world. This reminds me of a discussion I read the other day where someone was asserting with all their heart that Stephano is the best zerg in the world.

Stephano. Best zerg in the world. Is it possible?
Nah, though he is near the top.
I made a game! Hotline Maui. Requires mouse and keyboard.
I still think Meeks actually kidnapped Stephano when he was in Canada for NASL and stashed him away in his Stephano shrine-closet. The reason why he failed at Arena is because Meeks is still working out the bugs in the Stephano-bot replacement he created for this purpose.
@TwitchTV, @Youtube: master-level zerg ladder/customs, commentary, and random miscellany.

Actually, I put a computer in there and force him to practice ZvZ ten hours a day so that I can eventually say that I have the best Zerg player in the world in my closet.

@Yillias
Interesting... I don't get page warnings though.
@Cantido
I just played a match and it seemed to run super smooth, and graphics seemed better than normal.
I don't know if it was b/c of the patch though.
Basically when SC2 is running, open up your control panel (alt-ctrl-del) and right click on SC2 and set priority to high
again, this is just a hunch, and I know that this patch made some performance improvements, so I don't know if any of that was attributed to the process change. But, I did just play a game vs Mosez and I didn't stutter once in the entire game, which was common for me in normal games, regardless of what was going on on my screen

oh, also, has everyone seen the stacked WCS winner's bracket on GomTV's schedule?
if you know the system and throwing the game helps you, I don't think it should be punished.
however doing something like the coca/byun losing to help a friend... I think that's an issue and it's a very fine line there.
as much as I don't think it should be punished I also don't really feel bad about it being a rule.
This used to be an issue in motor racing (Formula One) where one of the team members would let their partner past to win a race if his partner had more chance of winning the championship overall. There was also incidents of the 'lesser' partner holding up other competitors or even pranging rivals to the team leader.
They passed rules to prevent this happening, but when I watched it there were always rumours it was still going on.
Considering the Olympics declined Chess and people like to compare SC2 to Chess, I doubt SC2 will be in the Olympics any time soon.
I presume Chess was rejected because it has no physical component to it all. You could argue that the speed and accuracy needed by SC2 is a _bit_ physical.

The WNBA has the Sparks and the Storm though!

It's the formatting, you see.
Stephano. Best zerg in the world. Is it possible?
Steam: adamjnet
I know the Thunder are an NBA team, but they have a WNBA name. It is the lack of sssssssess.
The problem with Day9 hosting SotG is he would forget to throw it to the other hosts before the three hours were over.

Nah, though he is near the top.
Also I would say that Stephano is definitely one of the best Zergs but not the best. Just because I hate his attitude and can't leave DRG hanging.

How can you enforce someone 'trying their best?'
