My friend found a stray kitten in really bad shape…too young to be away from its mom and nearly dead. She took it to her grandparents and they nursed it back to health. Now that my friend is moving an hour away the grandparents didn’t want the kitten and said it had to find a home or off to the pound. I took the kitten in and took her to the vet. Everything is find-got her dewormed and flea meds and she has a clean bill of health.
Now I have a 2 year old corgi. My corgi has been around a much older cat and they got along fight. My dog just wanted to play and enjoyed having the cat around.
I read about introducing and my boyfriend and I tried that tonight. The kitten was fine, seemed chill about a dog (shocked by this) and my dog just really really wanted to play.
Now I’m afraid that she might be rough with her. She’s very jumpy and I don’t want her to accidently hurt the kitten. I’ve never had a kitten before so I don’t really what to do and I was hoping for some tips to make this transition smooth. I believe it will be fine-I just don’t want my dog to accidently hurt her-she’s very tiny still….
Any tips/advice would be appreciated!
Also pics of the animals…because I know you guys love that
will probably be fine. just keep them separated when you can't supervise for now. always make sure the kitty has an escape option. though you will be shocked how gentle your corgi can be with a tiny thing
