It's like they feel they have a rep to protect. like the non anime fighting communities will see them as less than weeaboo animu fighting nerds because "Hey look guys we can shit talk too!"
Honestly, most fighting game commentators outside of a handful try way to hard to sound street. Anime or no.

At least I can do in-air commands and everything else, but that above? Embarrassing.
I've been having a ton of fun with Amane so far but I feel like I should mix it up and try other folks too. He's pretty much the only guy I've played at all. No idea who I should try next though. Maybe Relius? He seems neat, I stopped playing BB before he came out. 23 characters is a lot of choices!

Dead spike is kind of like a fireball now lol. Kinda slow but travels and he can dash cancel it on whiff.

Also...I've been watching these videos and Ragna really doesn't seem that bad. Looks like people just have to adjust but at worse he's looking mid-tier.
That said did they nerf his 6A or something? In all these videos I never see the players use it at times that would be smart to use it.

i haven't seen much of him in videos, but what i have seen has been really impressive
Yeah, I am pretty excited for his possibilities too.
I think he will probably run into some of the same issues he had before (if get stuck in a corner and don't have Ignis out then you are going to have to play very smart and defensively).
But, they gave him a lot more stuff that doesn't rely on Ignis. Both of his new moves don't require Ignis and one is pretty good in combos which means we may see decent non-Ignis Relius combos. I am not sure on this one, but it seemed they made Ignis health a little more lenient too, seems like it takes less meter when you summon Ignis in combos which is nice.
In EX he wasn't very popular which might explain the current lack of videos. Hopefully his CP incarnation garners more interest.
