Amane is hilarious. Especially vs Tager. I think it only pissed Valkenheyn off. I think I'm missing something about Hakumen, but that's OK, I'll get up to speed eventually.

The Astral should logically backfire on Valkenhyn and Trinity as it sends them back to their younger more powerful forms. Also, man does young Valkenhyn look snazzy.

Honestly, Rachel should have a line along the lines of "is that it?", as even reducing her to a tenth her age wouldn't have any effect.

He was kind of down on Makoto after Extend but he's pretty hyped about her again.

And man there are a lot of Hakumen players...he must be top tier.

One of the few fighting games I enjoyed for the story just because of how insane it gets.

BlazBlue really set a standard for fighting game stories. Not that that means much, but Guilty Gear's collective story modes were mostly composed of the phrase "get out of my way." Before a fight starts, it's believable. The silly fights start for silly reasons and the serious fights start for serious reasons.

Makoto seems solid enough in this one, or at least good enough that I've seen Makoto players go on like 10 win streaks.

Haven't ran into any Hakumen players personally yet.

Lots of Bullets, she is very flashy and relatively straight forward to play it seems. Azrael is tricky, but some people seem to really want to put time into him and are getting results. I am pretty much the only Amane player I have run into, I have seen a couple people messing around with his moves in training but no one really playing him seriously yet, which makes me sad, because I am loving Amane.

It seems like all the characters I have seen are in a pretty good place. It's still very early though, but, I have a feeling this may turn out to be one of the better balanced iterations of BlazBlue. Only time will tell, of course.

I've been watching Jourdal's videos and there are already some Arzael players wrecking faces.

He looks pretty good. His playstyle reminds me of Makoto(SF Makoto, not BB) in that you play him patiently until you get a big opening then you do a bunch of damage.
