Self portrait expressions, trying to get a bit more life into the faces of my rendered stuff- usually I fall back on a passive, 'what I am trying to express with my face is just that I have a face' expression, which gets kinda boring.
Something that I kinda made up as I went along. Could use another layer of polish and fixing of perspective errors (drawing guns suuuucks), but I think I want to move on to something else now
@Angel_of_Bacon, they should just change the forum code so that you automatically get everyones awesomes when you post and if we don't like it we have to go click unawesome because it would save so much time for all of us.
@condimentking maybe you could have the hand still. But just put the fingers coming over the top/bottom of the paper with no arm so it looks less floaty? Maybe you don't want the hand at all.. but that's my only "bright idea". Kinda like this random newsboy
A character sketch. Anyone have tips on how to avoid Drawing the Same Face All the Time Syndrome? Still haven't quite gotten the hang of clothing, either.

Figure studies figure studies figure studies.
The answer to everything is figure studies.
Once you draw enough butts you'll start to understand how clothes work when on butts. Couple that with figure studies of pre clothed butts and you'll be able to anticipate how something will fold or crease when you draw without reference.
And I know because I haven't done figure studies in way too long and my characters are on the slant into the suck gutter.
Been slowly slowly getting out of my slump and starting to draw and hopefully start to make comics again. Here's a douchebag goblin that's just a tad late for goblin week.

Did you use a mirror for that, or take photo reference? That looks like it would be difficult to do!
