Reposting this, if you have any preferences let me know.
All are on an off-white van, the red background on #4 is to show that the number pane is open, each would have 3 versions, one for each division, whose colors come from the original grid Bast posted. Right now, personally, I'm leaning towards one of the last/rightmost 3 (which I've been calling, because the style is from my personal Horizon plates, Horizon White, Horizon Black and Flat)
OP will be updated tomorrow with whatever info we have so far, since we're a week away from the exhibition race.
Not yet, I haven't done the three versions of each of them. I will get that done before the races tonight and throw them all up on my storefront then we can pick an "official" one if we want.
So, I just ordered an xbox and forza 4. I would love to come race with you guys but I'm assuming I need to complete some single player shenanigans before that. I played a ton of GT3 and GT4 but this will be my first Forza game.
Anything I should know or do to play catch up to you guys?
No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.

You really don't need to do anything single player if you don't want to. Join the club and we have a nice selection in the club garage you can use and racing online is really the fastest way to make money.
Edit: All badges except for the open one are up on my storefront. If anyone wants one of those let me know.

Well, if Comrade Cow is going to race, perhaps I should drive a lap or two with you fellows...

At the very least if I join SBC I'll make an effort to learn the Nurburgring Grand Prix Circuit before this Thursday so I'm at least not taking horrible lines and getting in other people's ways.

That works. You may also need to run some single player to get the cash to buy a SBC car/upgrades.
Oh god, I just realized we're all going to have to remember how to call passes again and not kill each other race "black flag-y". It's been so long.

You say that like we were calling passes with any regularity anyway. :P

*fondly remembers racing alongside Keml0 all the time without having to call anything and neither of us colliding*
We seriously raced 3/4 of the Nurburgring barely communicating and never touched. I have no idea how some other people are so unaware of their fellow drivers.
Of course, I say that and when we did the multiclass team SBC, I think I hit him off the track in the first race. *cough* Still sorry about that one, buddy.
Pardon the noob questions. So for the Forza 4 SBC races what settings do you guys use? In single player I've been running with everything off except stability control. I just want to know if I need to get better without that.

Oh yeah ...
God that was horrible.
Hilarious at this point, but absolutely horrible at the time ...
Still have the replay of that somewhere? You should re-post the clip.

We don't run any assist requirements (though strongly suggest against the automatic steering/braking stuff), so run whatever you're comfortable with. I think the majority of us run with all of the assists off and manual shifting (with a couple crazies running with clutch), but that's just because a lot of the assists, like ABS and auto transmission, will hurt your lap times quite badly. I know some people run with stability on if their car needs it. Steering normal or simulation is a personal preference thing: some of us can't drive with it on normal, some can't drive with it on sim. But again, nothing is required/banned.
Also if anyone would care to add me on XBL my id is "CommunistCows" (note the "s" at the end).
How do you guys deal with passing? I'm assuming we try for no-contact but what happens if it happens on accident? I'm just asking because I'm trying to get better at it but I'm betting I'll make a mistake at some point.
I'm getting rather excited for this even though I'm going to get trounced.

I'll add you next time I'm on Live, as I'm generally the one most certain to show up every week.
With contact during passing, if it's an accident it's an accident. It happens, as long as it wasn't caused by someone being super aggressive the most you'll hear is some grumbling and if it was someone being super aggressive it will instead just be some louder grumbling. If you want to be super careful you can call any passes, just a " -name-, on your left/right" will do. Generally, trying to pass in a corner is a bad idea unless the passee blows the corner and goes wide, but corner passing is probably the #1 cause of accidents (or #2, behind "Oh, you brake back there...", slightly ahead of Knight asking me "Why did you brake for that corner!?").
And don't worry about mistakes, we all make them no matter the time we've put in, even our super topity-top guys, and I'm sure someone will shortly point out how I'm the most likely to make said mistakes, like going wide or driving a car I personally tuned.

Depends on the person. 9 out of 10 times, if I hit someone or put them off the track, I'd pull over and wait for them. But that's personal choice. A lot of the time people were prone to going, "My bad!" and driving off anyway. >_>
Of course, I might be bitter. When I stopped playing, there was a lot more contact than there was when I started.
That being said, don't worry yourself too much about it. If you have a mic it's way easier to communicate misgivings. Generally, as long as you aren't intentionally ramming people off the road there aren't many hard feelings. But I'll advise some extra caution at first - it takes a while to get used to the different way people brake, and if you don't know when you should be braking yourself, you'll probably rear-end a few people along the way.

Oh the manual, ooooooooyyyyyy. This is the hardest part of coming back from Horizon.
Requesting an invite to the club, I'm ebotacular on Live.
Anyone who asks, if an officer (Bast or Stew) doesn't get you in before Thursday, I will keep a list and add you to my friends list before the race to make sure you get an invite.
I'll be on tonight for Horizon, but if turnout for that continues (to be no one), if anyone is interested in running some SBC practice or whatever in F4, go ahead and send an invite and I'll switch over.
My totally legitimate SERIOUS BUSINESS driving set up.
Puppies are my co-drivers. Now if I could only attach a wheel to the dog on my lap.

Okay, so, at some point in February, I'll be forced back to weekends. I say forced because I don't really want to, but low man on the totem pole and all that.
Which means I will want to participate in the races again. So pleeeeeeease don't remove me from the car club. :P I am coming back!

No one is in any danger of being cut. I mean, Veevee is still the leader of the club for god's sake.

Thanks, Blood, I'll drop into Forza 4 later on tonight to see if anyone has(and, of course, to practice a bit).

Which one of those is responsible for the mic licking, Cow?
The one on my lap was the one trying to lick my face while racing.
So I just got the Mclaren F1 Gt (R800) car and I feel like no matter what I do tuning wise that thing either handles like a bag of drunken door knobs or a squirrel on crack. Then I hop in the BMW M3 GT2 art car (R800) and that thing handles like a dream. I don't know if it is a matter of me still being a noob but I feel like the Mclaren should handle better than that.
If someone thinks they can tune the Mclaren well, I would love to hear what settings you use.

Perhaps I can interest you in my meager selection of pins?
True.
And passing should be less terrifying/communication-needed with everyone's cars basically equal.
No, it should be the Arcadians (I swear that was in the OP, unless I cut it by accident, it will be added back), with PA as the tag.
It may also take a little for someone to approve, as most of the officers aren't on much.
I fondly remember our little car in car action leaving the pits at Sunset back in FM3 and exploding everywhere.

Don't care I believe. Not enough cars to really lock any out.
Edit: I'll be around tonight if anyone wants to race cars on yonder interwebs. Just say something in here so I can turn mah xbox on.

This is pretty adorable. My dogs sit on my feet while I play on my computer, so I know this feeling.
Also SBC excitement! Hoping this pulls a few people back into F4.
