I like Suzuka just fine. It's one of the more balanced speed/handling tracks in the game.
You can all give me 'a look' when I say my favourite track is Maple Valley.
Le Mans is mine (just beating out the 'ring) so clearly we're all wrong/broken in a variety of different ways.
I'm fine with Suzuka, but dislike hairpins in general and find that every straight outside of the start/finish is designed in such a way as to be even more dangerous than the corners. I enjoy Maple Valley when I only have to shift twice per lap.
Maple full reverse in a D or slower car with the steering wheel is amazing. It really shows how good the physics and force feed back is. Every hill that changes the weight of the steering and the dips and sweeps. I hated that track until the first time I played it with a wheel. Same thing with sedona.
The only track I do not like is Catalunya, and I'm not really sure why. Just every time it comes up I groan a little and fight through it. I love Maple Valley, I love Motegi, I love Suzuka, and I really really miss New New York (those chicanes!).
Sad I'm going to miss Forza 5, but I might be back for Forza 6.
Now I want to see someone actually take it around the track with full force instead of this "lets floor it carefully only on the straights and slightly coming out of some corners"
No, I am not really communist. Yes, it is weird that I use this name.

It's a drag car, it sidesteps just from looking at the throttle on that surface and it'll plow through every corner with those bicycle tires up front.
Just remember that half the people you meet are below average intelligence.
Sooooo why did they test it on a circuit course instead of a drag strip? Wouldn't it be more impressive to show its amazing 1/4 mile time?
They got scared of the 500 dollar cammed Nova in the left lane. They can make excuses about its performance if they take a drag car onto a circuit course.
(I jest)
I want to see it run, too. With those power figures/weight and a decent set of wrinklewalls it should run in the 9s easily and deafen everyone in the process.
listen. Positano is the best course. No exceptions.
I actually enjoyed rally positano full. I had many a good drift and 'car chase' races through there. I also miss the snake tracks... Not the super snake and the absurd ones. The first 3-4 tracks where it just felt like some backwater low budget no frills race track that you might actually race on. I didn't think the driving lines were all that bad.
Do I need to build anything for cat and mouse tonight? Did you guys get into a certain groove of designated cat cars or anything?

The times I've played I always go for something with AWD and isn't super light. So ~2800-3200lbs. This time I made up an A600 Bentley that is something like 5,000lbs and has 720hp. RAWR CRUSH!

I need to "fix up" my stable of Bentley's so I can bring them out of undrivableness retirement for Cats.
Just ran some Suzuka and it looks like I'm falling around the 2:15s on a good lap, this is also my least consistent track ever so a "good lap" might as well be a unicorn and a leprechaun riding a moped backwards at mach 2.
I also tried the car Scatman sent and... we're going to mark this down on "Wildly Different Driving Styles", as I couldn't get that thing around in less than 2:18. And those were the attempts I could get it around without dropping the transmission out of the car, twitching into a wall or understeering into the sand. I just... I don't... I... those Toe settings.
I wanna try the infamous scatman's car ^_^ I'll let you try the bimmer, its a very nice car to drive. Heck I'll let anyone drive it that wants. I'll gift you a tune when I'm off work. It is a stable and grippy car, which is good for those constant switches back and forth at the start of suzuka.

I think it's running what, 1.0-1.2 positive and the same negative on front/rear respectively?
If you can, Bull, throw that Z in the garage. Yours too if you can, I wanna try it.

Oh so I wondered what would happen if I pulled all the silly toe out of my tune on my 613 Z. Also pulled about 40 pounds off the rear wing.

At least that on the toe.
Mine's in the garage, I'll put yours up when I get on tonight.

SUDDENLY MY CAR IS UNDERSTEERING I DON'T UNDERSTANDDDDDDDDDDDD
So, gentermen, I am dealing with a bit of a tough choice- my girlfriend flies in at 3:50 pm on Thursday. I also love Suzuka the mostest.
Maybe I can hope that we're both worn out enough at that point that it's ok if I take an hour and a half to play Forza?

Yes.
worn out
Also, when was the last time we ever managed to get anything into an hour and a half?
20+ minutes for 2-3 practices, 10+ minutes trying to get everyone into the qualifying lobby, 10+ minutes for qualifying, another 10 minutes getting everyone ready for the race, 5 minutes per restart (2 minimum, especially on a high-speed first turn like Suzuka,) a 5+ minute wait when someone hardlocks in between restarts, and then a 45 minute race.
Here's Bast and I's super close finish on Suzuka. .026s between us (basically the length of my front splitter). The finish is the red line at 19 seconds: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSm5DVKiLO8

If I've learned anything from the top half of this page, you should make sure she's got hella toe in, then you'll suddenly go to shit halfway through and be able to go play Forza.
In this video we're heading into the final turn and I'm the lone BMW escorting Bast. He sees the blue dot approaching from the front, and I see one quickly gaining from the rear. He's repeatedly telling me to take the lead in order to intercept the oncoming vehicle, but I wasn't sure that was the best idea. This worked out better than either of us planned.
Hm, do I want to race with you guys on thursday, or do I want to go see Pacific Rim in IMAX before it leaves (last day is Thursday)...
This is hard.

I think in Ebo's first video Cubivore is teabagging the track.
To Knight: Pacific Rim is fun, but I really don't think it's going to blow you away any harder in 3D. However if it's the last day you'll get to see it in a theatre, that's a different story, because it'll be way better on a bigger screen.

No, it's not 3D, it's real IMAX at the Franklin Institute, the dome sort, not the larger/closer screen kind.
Only thing missing from those replays is Bast's (one, only) shining cat moment on Maple Valley, when ebo and I squeezed cubi's jeep, holding it steady as Bast teed up and obliterated it. Almost as if we planned it.
It was followed the next lap by Bast blasting into a group of ebo (his teammate) holding back Cubi and 2 of his cats, only hitting ebo and letting the entire blue team by...
I think Cat and Mouse works a lot better if we follow the ground rules we had last week (no heavy mice and cat's don't just drive backwards). I, personally, really don't find it all that fun otherwise. Heavy mice are just frustrating and pointless while being on the team with someone just driving backwards feels like playing at a handicap.

... Real IMAX is 3D. >_> Believe it or not, there's actually an IMAX theatre 20 minutes from where I live.
I'm still not sold it would actually improve the experience. There's a lot of Transformers-like "ALL THE SHIT IS HAPPENING!" moments.
I have that replay. I can upload that video because it was truly an epic moment. I don't mind the driving backwards, on catalunya it was kind of fun trying to avoid/plan for it. Doing the backwards driving is also fun, supposing you don't do it the whole time. We should do 1 lap on le sarthe/nurburgring. Backwards driving wouldn't work.
Also, my 811hp, 2500lb 4wd thunderbird apparently is no match for that 4000lb impala lol.

I didn't have any problems playing without those rules last night but it really wouldn't bother me if we played with them. Personally I find it kind of satisfying to have someone drive around the entire track to hit you head on only to miss because you managed to dodge them.
Were you guys having a super hard time trying to smash the Jeep Cubivore was driving?
Also, Eclibull's choice of mouse car was hilarious.

c'mon FM5....

Perhaps I can interest you in my meager selection of pins?
I'm fine with Suzuka, but dislike hairpins in general and find that every straight outside of the start/finish is designed in such a way as to be even more dangerous than the corners.
