10 years ago I realized my dream job. I've always found the notion of owning a small business to be romantic. I've had a sincere love of animals. All the parts were in place. I only needed the start up.
So I invested. I watched the ups and downs of certain commodities, I made money, I lost money. I stared out my apartment window when it was rough, contemplating the fall. When it was good I looked to the heavens, thanking a being I found to love me.
It took time, but my dream never dwindled. I had several liasons, but no great loves. The closest I came was a brief love affair with whisky, but she broke my heart.
But recently I surpassed my goal, enough money to begin my business. After years of hardwork, many hours, and more money than I had, my business was open.
People came from all around. A place where you and your beloved cat could learn to communicate. It begins with petting,but eventually you learn to pay enough attention to understand the subtleties of their mews to respond to their claims.
All over people are now more in touch with their cats. Dogs are slowly phased out of existence until they are comparable to pet fish, there, but no one really cares. Until they get flushed.
Everyone has a better understanding of what makes cats tick. Jim Davis is scrutinized for his portayal of cats until the public outrage becomes too great, and his corpse sways in the breeze.
Business booms, I settle down with a family, and become rich. I am working with a team of scientists to turn people into cats when I realize that it was the holodeck all along
