Hey guys, I know I can be kind of ragey lately. LoL is where I am letting off stress that's building up in life otherwise. That said, to me "not trying hard" is not the same as playing like a crazy person. Also, basic items of note. If you're an AD carry and you don't have lifesteal by 15 minutes, you're probably doing it wrong. If you're running teleport on a jungler (ok it's already weird), use your teleport strategically. There's no point wasting it on teleporting to middle when the lane isn't even pushed. That teleport could have been used to gank, or defend a dragon or baron attempt, or countergank!
If you're playing top lane, there are very few reasons why you would start with a Doran's item over boots and potions. Particularly if you're a low range squishy character that can be assassinated by the typical top lane bruiser. Just because you're running a murderlane bottom doesn't mean that you never buy wards. Follow your lane opponents, particularly if you're bottom lane.
I hate when I build on use items and never remember to use them. This happens roughly half the time I build Shurelya's.
I know that's the real reason why I hate building DFG, and just build something else instead.

I think Eve suffers from a lot of bad players playing her. They will always be overagressive, even if they know the enemy jungle is warded and just die repeatedly. Kayle top has been a lot of fun, though.
I still prefer Kayle with a team that doesn't suck, but when "support" isn't in your title people are much nicer when you go AS/AD and play like a carry.

I'm surprised that you're still thinking in the past. ADC doesn't always have to have lifesteal. I only died 3 times, and got 3 assists and one kill of our teams half-dozen kills.
Our jungler was pretty open about having not played LoL in almost a year. I don't think Sion went bottom to form a kill-lane...it was silliness, really.
I'm surprised Malzahar didn't try harder than 1/5/1.

I've got pretty decent pool of champions I can play, but I don't always get to play with people on my friends list. I need to come up with a list of tops and mids I can solo queue with and not really worry about being extremely counter picked, since these games will rely on my carrying.

I'd like to think that they're targeting Yorick specifically, but it actually sounds like Riot want to rework pretty much all the top lane champs. Riven, Darius and Yorick are just the relevant names that pop up most frequently.

I'd like to think that they're targeting Yorick specifically, but it actually sounds like Riot want to rework pretty much all the top lane champs. Riven, Darius and Yorick are just the relevant names that pop up most frequently.
Top lane is a place where there can be a very large (solo) kill potential when there's as little as an 800 gold difference. That can be as little as killing someone when they have two or three waves pushed up to their tower. At this point, if you're playing a full melee champ (like Shyvana, Renekton, Riven, or Garen), your only real recourse is to go mid and try to gank people, or have your jungler camp your lane non-stop.
I can't remember the word that Xypherous used, but he essentially called top lane cancerous. It's extremely match-up heavy (if I know who I'm fighting top, I can take the perfect counter and stomp my lane), and there's little to no coming back if you get far enough behind. This is especially true if you fed someone like Udyr, who can easily tank your tower and kill you and be at full health/mana when you walk back.
Now, I don't think Yorick is overpowered (I play him a lot, and there's tons of people who can do well enough against him), but he can be very unfun to play against if you're not aware of his very unique style of harass or you happened to pick one of the people he can just stomp from the get-go. There's also champs like Riven who can simply snowball out of control if can't deny her CS, and then there's Darius who can just ult you every time you come back to lane if he does it right (Compare to Garen who can only it every minute or so).

The counterplay and gameplay of top-lane is something that's on my radar - However, it's not something a single champion change can fix. You cannot keep making stuff "fit" in the current top-lane because what exists in the current top-lane is almost all poison. When you do so, bad things happen. The current power level of Darius is almost directly caused by how strong all the top-laners are and how snowbally that lane has become.
