How long was 9? I can't remember. I just know I loaned it to a friend on thursday, and he came over and beat it on Sunday. Either he was bored as fuck, or FF9 is a bit short.
9 pissed me off mainly due to a) ridiculous character design b) freya the delightful rat companion c) when you finally get to the world map and find out there's nowhere worth traveling to.

Guys guys remember when Delita stabbed that one guy
everyone eventually stabbed everyone in that game!
The best scene is where
Delita is confronting some lords, and he declares that some of them are traitors. I think by the end of that scene, only a few of them didn't have stab wounds.

i like when the one brother finally figures out that the other brother is a sick bastard
I Beat MGS 2 in one sitting over about 6 hours, but I can't get into MGS3.
I'm not saying 2 was better than 3, it's just playing Killer 7 was my breaking point. I'm never going to play an unfun game again solely for it's plot.
I don't want anyone to pretend my opinions are fact, though.

Chrono Trigger is better than the final fantasy games.
Eight and Nine were probably the worst.
Seven was my favorite, since it had a nice, flowing story and some of the best gameplay I've seen in an FF game.
Ocarina of Time basically changed the way adventure games were done.

Nah, the best is when
Algus just up and shoots Delita's sister and he's all "meh, just a peasant, not like her life was worth anything." And Ramza's all "oh shhhiiiiiii..." And Delita goes into a murderous rage.
I really loved 6 and 9, though there were better RPGs out there.
I guess Chrono Trigger and Xenogears are my top two. I think most people fucking hate Xenogears though. I can see why, but I don't mind reading digital books. :P

pretty much, xenogears is one of the best games i've played hands down
Wow, that's awesome to hear. Most people throw a shit-fit when I mention it. It was my favorite game ever for a long time, but I think Shenmue II ended up finally knocking it down.

I loved Xenogears. I was going through my giant anime robot phase at the time.

Really? I found MGS3's various gameplay systems to be MUCH nicer than MGS2. Now, I use a lot of melee in the MGS series, so I may seem to be somewhat biased in that the CQC thing was one of the "big-deal" changes to MGS3, but when you get right down to it, the new CQC system wasn't really more powerful, it was just more refined.
also every final fantasy is bullshit on every degree; every single one was the shittiest shit that ever shat out of a butt
You MUST be ignoring FFT.
And also you must be speaking from some bizarre, ahistorical perspective where you pretend that the FF series didn't play a huge part in defining the jRPG genre.

It could be short.

after playing 9 with all the chocobo stuff 7 was a huge disappointment to go back to with it's lame-ass chocobos
i like when the one brother finally figures out that the other brother is a sick bastard
there is nowhere to travel to except a barren desert continent full of wonderful things
Also it pissed me off because I had assumed that Kuja was the final boss so I used pretty much evertyhing I had against him.
Beat Necron by the skin of my teeth, though.

If anyone asks the real reason for this thread is because I'm painting this Warhammer 40k set and I need something to laugh at while high on glue.

there is way too little faggotry occuring here
we need to pump up the jams
jams being gay innuendo

Yes.
That game was really cool, and difficult as hell if I remember right.

I'm still pretty unclear about the storyline, I should read the Wiki on it or something.
we can't stop here.
this is bat country.
