What I am amazed that LoL players do not display the highest levels of maturity given the highly complex and cerebral gameplay the game requires
To be fair, KeSPA players have a history with match fixing too. Even before the sAviOr thing, there was one foreign tournament in China, where Hwasin and Calm literally decided how the game would go do in the chatroom before the game. It should've been a big deal, but the Korean scene was extremely arrogant and didn't care about foreign tournaments (despite the 20k prize or w/e), so fixing the match didn't register as an issue for them.
Sure enough, when Hwasin's first poke is applied Calm has 2 sunkens (1 made, 1 morphing) and no lings.

why does mana have to play bomber still even though he's in?

reading about the format more carefully, it looks like he is 90% in, but there are still possibilities for him to not be in or for there to be tiebreakers if he loses to either Bomber or Jjakji. If he beats either of those two he is in though.
I love watching Scarlett play, but she is a really, really bad interviewee. It's like some of those early GSL interviews where Artosis can only get one word out of the guy.

I think it's because she's not comfortable with her voice yet.
Now that Narwhal has moved to continent of class, will any PA'ers start being online in Europe soon?
I have trunkers and Biosys on my friendlist, but I think Bio has been online like, once, in a year.
Is it because the NA ladder is terrible, and you pro euros want to move up a league by playing there? :rotate:
Well, how long until HotS and I don't have to worry about what version of the game I have? I don't really have the money to blow on an EU account at the moment, so unless someone is buying me one...

She's probably not comfortable with her own body, let alone her voice. Maybe she will use the money towards becoming more feminine and then she can start feeling more comfortable just being herself

I hope so. Scarlett is a great player, and I want her to be embraced by the community...uphill battle though Sometimes the dickery of gamers and e-Sports bothers me (though I still feel Scarlett probably chose the right e-Sport, as the StarCraft community is one of the more mature...though it's still relative).
I hope Blizzard doesn't have dedicated, paid mappers for the MP maps, cause they are not getting their money's worth.
I really hope the pro scene is more proactive about getting all the shitty maps out of the pool once HoTS releases, but I wouldn't be surprised if they went back to just using the new Blizzard maps when the expansion first comes out. It's really silly how many bad non-community maps survived for years (and still do) in tournament map pools.
Bad map pools are a big problem with a lot of tournaments; there definitely needs to be more of an uproar in the community when MLG has fucking Tal'darim Altar in their map pool still.

At least it isn't Metalopolis.
is it bad that I remember a time when that was the largest macro map in the map pool?
Antiga Shipyard - Super T favored
Atlantis Spaceship - Way too big (atleast it's not Calm Before the Storm I guess)
Whirlwind - Way too big
Metropolis - Way too big
Ohana - Abysmal for Zerg
Which leaves us with Cloud Kingdom, Daybreak, and Entombed Valley as the good ones.
Korean TLPD has TvZ at 54% for both Ohana and Antiga Shipyard. That doesn't sound super T favored/abysmal for Zerg.
International TLPD actually has those maps at under 50% in TvZ, but that is understandable because foreign Terran have historically been pretty weak compared to their Korean counterparts.
Honestly there should be like 6 maps at any time, which are standard for EVERYTHING. And four of those should change like bimonthly.
This weird nebulous shit with huge diverse pools of maps floating around forever is awful, and having a small crisp rotating schedule is one of the main ways to keep things fresh and battle the menacing hyper stimulation of constantly changing games like MOBA. As well keeping it very tight promotes a lot deeper strategy, makes it easier for casual players to learn, and gives the awesome meta-meta-metagame elements that occur when you see a map multiple times in a series.
There needs to be a fucking committee that does this and is holding public contest for the new maps 2 months out of every flip, then they could have a two month testing/tweak period where they narrow the field. A couple favorites could rotate back into the pool, but honestly the whole thing needs to be decided by some higher up so the responsibility gets pulled out of the hands of all the idiots.

I agree.
Also, @saaruto what part of Europe are you in again?

that's true, but with the current state of his pvz especially i dunno how he'll do next gsl
hopefully he'll prove me wrong, but the last few tournaments have just been terrible for him T.T

Which I guess is good. I just wish the comments would get hidden or marked as spam entirely like in Youtube.
