For fuck's sake, do I seriously have to babysit the download for reinstalling ME3 the whole time? I keep trying to leave it to download overnight, and Origin keeps monopolizing my bandwidth to such an extent that it can't even keep itself connected, so the download keeps stopping every couple percent.
I feel like after the dlc, starchild seems even more like a random dues ex machina that doesn't fit into the story at large. but maybe that's just me.
Wha? Leviathan pretty much explicitly justifies him.
If the Extended Cut and Leviathan had shipped with the game (or the latter was Day 1 DLC), I would've been pretty satisfied at the lack of major plot holes.
I would've been still annoyed that the finale wasn't Suicide Mission-levels of awesomeness, though.
Yeah. They can improve the ending a ton and still not really hit at what the ending should have been, which was a "range of endings." But I picked up an ME1 save, am going to replay ME2, and by the time I'm ready to hit ME3 again I think more DLC will be out and I'll take a look for myself.
I think I still have a one-page outline of an alternate ending I wrote up when I was still bummed out over the whole thing months ago floating around on the hard drive. Six endings produced by a simplified suicide-mission style flowchart.

Playing through my first game again, I'm remember the one thing that annoys me with Vanguard in SP. You move around so fast that its really easy to miss items, so every time I clear a section I have to go back and search everything.
It would have been nice if you could set companion AI behaviors ala Dragon's Dogma.

I will be uploading a new gameplay video for tomorrow.
I'd probably buy the PC version just to play multiplayer on if I could do it without losing all my precious guns
also origin, I suppose
also WRT the poisoning discussion from last page, I thought that was one of the little ways they make it clear that shepard is a superstrong futuristic cyborg now. The batarian bartender in ME2 gives you a drink that presumably killed a bunch of previous humans, but shepard just wakes up in the alley with a hangover (I like to imagine she danced obnoxiously and punched a salarian first.)
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
If you're paranoid about Origin, you can make a second OS install on a separate drive or partition and hide the others. If you mean it's a terrible program that still hasn't managed to implement several basic features of the product it's trying to emulate then...you're absolutely correct.
But yeah you do lose all your guns yet still can somehow claim commendation packs from events you completed on another platform. It seems like it would be insanely easy to link it all together if they so chose and would actually encourage people to buy the game multiple times.

It's funny how that divides lower levels and high levels. At first, everybody hated Acquisitor. But when you can kill things fine, it's the best thing since toast.

origin has been disconnecting a lately, seems to have weird server issues.
i was stuck at work, idly browsing the internet, as you do. i couldnt get on the wikia so i settled for the ME1 wiki page. and discovered this magnificent gem in the plot synopsis.
The game takes place in the year 2183, with the player assuming direct control of an elite human soldier named Commander Shepard and setting out to explore the Galaxy on a starship, the SSV Normandy.
i had like, the biggest grin ever at work.

added you too. then again i have yet to play with any PA'ers and my friends list is full of you guys.
join the wanguard team on steam too and maybe coordinate from there too.
i'm always up for matches tho recently i've got quite used to being a complete dick and going off and heroing the match with a properly spec'ed vorcha solider and a regaar/gethshotgun. i then die at bad times and have no more medi-gel left at wave 11.
i am a terrible person.
(also should note my coalaced for me3 is recently modded so im not sure if ill get banned the second i start an mp game, i only have camera options for sp for screenshot taking though, nothing cheaty... not sure how they monitor it though)
rio is the buggiest damn map. i found myself in a game where if i found an enemy spawn quick enough, using stasis alone was enough to instantly kill them.
also, nothing feels better than joining a game in progress on gold, seeing 2 skulls where your teammates are, with an UNSTARTED hack and 2:40 on the clock....and fucking DOING it yourself. :E

Yesterday I was added to a game with 1:30 seconds left in Wave 11. The three other players were down. I appeared surrounded by Banshees and was immediately grabbed before i could move.
Total game time 10-15 seconds.

Collector's make sense and would be easy enough to explain away as for other factions well we never got reaperized Salarians.

So long as they fix Rio, I'm happy with map changes.
Hoping they get some fixes for the farming without fucking up the people playing it normally, but I'm not holding my breath. They need some of the really good guys in there as playtesters, 'cuz dudes are farming even Platinum without many adjustments.
Bioware has already said they've been working on 'fixing' farming, specifically on GWG. All it will do is make players find another place to do it.
So that's not a groundbreaking revelation.
Collector faction, while not terribly unsurprising; wouldn't really make sense as they try to have the stuff in MP fit into the SP story. Honestly, it'd make more sense to do Merc factions near to the Omega DLC.
But whatever, new stuff is always welcome. What it really needs, more than new factions, is a new gametype; and not just a new objective type. Another faction will, in the end, boil down to pretty much the same thing as the current 3.

Collectors have been seen on Palaven, and the Oculi were in the final battle against the reapers around earth

Huh, I must have missed that. Where is that coming from; I don't recall any mention of that during the game itself. Is it like the news network stuff or? I thought I read most of the codex stuff, but I could have just missed it.

Collectors would be a logical faction. We could always use more Reaper types. I'd love to see the mercenary groups and mechs from ME2 make a comeback for multiplayer as well.

I've read about it.
It specifically says "collector swarms", but doesn't go into further detail - so there's no way to know if they just refer to groups of collector forces or just the seeker swarms.

the oculi are collectors who've had their musculature and skin removed from their body, their nerves inside machines, controlling it
Oh, i was unaware that those things (Oculus, Oculi, I didn't even know they had a name; you don't really ever deal with them directly in the game; just cutscene fodder) were actually Collectors. Huh. Well then.
This actually makes me wonder how they're planning on fitting Collectors into current maps. I mean, most are fine, but yeah... Praetorians...the current maps simply aren't designed to handle an enemy like that.
A Praetorian inside, say, glacier, just wouldn't work. Maybe it'll just be like Harvesters and simply not be in MP; but they were the biggest threat from Collectors.

You don't. It's one of the many features that Steam has that Origin doesn't.
Basically Origin is where Steam was a year or two after Half Life 2 came out. Problem is, they're competing with Steam now...
Is dumb
Do we have any indication about their aiming to implement this feature? It seems like a no-brainer!
added you so hard
WELCOME TO THE MASTER RACE
also, origin sucks hard. most people coordinating outside a match will use steam for voice stuffs

Full stop. Download a cracked EXE that doesn't use Origin. The game does not require it. You cant use its matchmaking services though of course.
