Tonight I discovered that a Valiant VIII with level V Sniper Gear + level 2 sniper rail on an infiltrator specced for damage is pretty effective on Gold. Cerberus Troopers were dropping like flies and Centurions, Nemesis, and Guardians only took 2-3 shots. Phantoms were a PITA what with all their flippy-flip-flipping and the gun has a hard time getting through an Atlas' shield, but overall that gun is VERY good.
Will have to see how it does vs. Geth and Reapers.
the buffs to the paladin and the talon really just make them more usable at low levels, which is a good change and long overdue
I don't entirely understand the reasoning behind the carnifex nerf; the difference at max level is inconsequential, so the primary effect will be the make the 'fex less useful for new players
As for singularly, I suspect it'll work kind of like annihilation field currently does: just have it place a short-duration effect on shielded enemies that you can detonate, and stagger/slow them a little bit. Which would be great and might even get me to play human adept. I don't like shockwave as a detonator because the range is so short (and the range evolution is shared with the combo damage one), but ymmv.
I got a hurricane 3, which makes it just about light enough to use on my fury. Mmmmmm.
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

range evolution is also bugged so you should prob avoid taking it anyway
what's the deal with the BF3 soldier? weren't you supposed to get it at launch if you had a BF3 save file? cuz I did and I never got one. now with that addition, it's only going to make it even harder for me to ever get a damn demolisher. sigh.

16m is the default range on Shockwave now (I think), which is more than enough in most levels

The good news is that there's no customization for the BF3 soldier, so once you unlock him he's out of the pool of gold cards. I'm also still missing an N7, in my case its the Destroyer. I'm morbidly curious if I'll unlock him before the next DLC drops.
My thought about the Carnifex nerf is mainly that they're trying to keep it from being the default caster pistol. Since the Talon and Paladin are URs, even with the weight buffs you're unlikely to throw them on an adept or engineer unless you spec for weight reduction and use an ULM mod. As a rare, people are much more likely to have a Carnifex and likely at a decent level.
Since it's the most damaging of the non-UR pistols without having to rapid fire I'm pretty sure everyone who had it used over any of the other guns. I admit, I had it on my Asari adept even though I'm throwing out powers like 95% of the time. Really, her gun is just a sidearm to finish off weakened enemies or for extra damage if I'm on cool-down. The change just means I'll use a different gun for her and keep the Carnifex on characters that will actually use it as their main source of damage (like my Asari Vanguard who I spec and gear for headshot damage).
I know the Paladin has less ammo and I -think- it has a slower rate of fire, so there's an argument to be made that at level X the Carnifex still has its place even if it weighs the same as the more damaging Paladin. Though honestly I'm pretty sure Bioware is fine with all the URs being the "best in class" once you've leveled them all to X.

there was supposed to be a promotional battlefield 3 pack in the store
it worked for me
but yeah it's only one rare card, it shouldn't be too problematic

Coinciding with the launch of Mass Effect Trilogy, BioWare will kick off the first annual “N7 Day,” a worldwide celebration of the Mass Effect franchise on November 7, 2012. Stay tuned to http://MassEffect.com for updates and announcements for a variety of in-game, online and live events which fans can congregate and fly their N7 colors.
Sounds like some MP and possibly SP stuff for ME3 on that day as well.

You know...If they had some developer commentary for every game included...I would buy that collection even though they have all three games.
Does it say for certain it doesn't include DLC; particularly for ME2?
It doesn't say it does; was it confirmed elsewhere it doesn't?
Because I'd actually consider getting it for the PC finally if at least ME2 came with all the DLC. Or if they gave us any word on what to expect down the road with ME3 DLC; if they're gonna keep going for awhile or if they're gonna cut if off early after having spent so much time on the ending stuff.

It is not confirmed to not have the DLC, no
I just think it's safer to assume that until we're told otherwise
It's nice for PS3ers who never got the first go-around, but without an ultimate set of DLC or commentary or something interesting it's just a value package that you can get $20 cheaper on PC. I don't know if I'd call a big 'ol N7 logo 'exclusive artwork' either.
Still, throwing in both previous titles for the price of the third new is swell enough.
apparently Sony is going to put ME1 on the playstation store by itself, which is nice for me since I already own ME2 and ME3 individually. I played ME1 through twice on xbox, but it'll be nice to get the trophies. It better only be 20 bucks though.
And if we have to wait until Nov 7 for the next MP DLC I will be pissed. I get that they don't want to release Omega until a while after Leviathan came out, but I've been sitting on a stockpiled 1,000,000 credits and if those just sit there for another month and a half I will be sorely disappointed. I guess I just don't understand why they have to release the MP and SP DLC at the same time. I get that they're going to be tied in together, but come on. MP desperately something new or everyone will stop caring by november.
Javelin fun fact: The Javelin can see through exactly as much surface as it can pierce through, and this scales with mods. If you're more interested in the penetration side, throw a High-Velocity barrel or Piercing mod on it, and the scope will now see further through surfaces to account for its new higher piercing.
i might pick that up. i dont know why, i own me1-2+dlc on xbox (with a missing disc from me2) and all 3 games on pc with all dlcs so far. and another copy of me2 i somehow got for free for having da2.
would look mighty nice on ma shelf.
edit: just noticed i have all bioware games boxed on pc on my shelf apart from the mass effect trilogy. hmph, guess that settles it.

Carnifex range is 276-345
Paladin's is 350-438

A day late and a dollar short, but...
Borderlands is Torchlight (Diablo) as an FPS.
It's all about the progression and the loot.
http://masseffect.bioware.com/about/trilogy/
That is a seriously dope-ass box.
I wish it included the DLC.
they don't say a date for when, i'm guessing because they need to talk with microsoft because of their publishing the 360 version
The whole trilogy could be coming to Wii U, too!?
Maybe.
