That being said I think vacuum syncs are more of a lag issue.
Nah, it's just that people didn't have it very high level before. And it was only about the equivalent of a phalanX, so not that great before the buff before this one
the eagle is now decent, it is probably in the top half of pistols - paladin, talon and arc pistol are the only ones that dps-wise beat it outright level-for-level, although the arc pistol requires mad clicking skills. scorp and acolyte probably could beat it as well given that they can deal damage to more than one target with a single shot, plus acolyte gets crazy shield/barrier bonuses. recoil is still a bit of a bugger and theres no recoil mod for pistols, but hey ho.
Eagle seems like it'd be pretty nice as an Assault Rifle replacement - it's definitely more powerful than guns like the Phaeston, right? It'd work well on Turian Soldiers with Proximity Mine or anything with Warp, to cut armor damage reduction further

I haven't tried in a while but I guess I should
eagle 1 has better damage (both in per bullet and dps terms) than a phaeston x
Because of the latest event I now have an Eagle III. Should I switch out the Phalanx IX I have on my casters or keep the Phalanx until something better shows up?

Your Eagle will probably do a bit more damage than your Phalanx on most enemies
Edit:
Also the Hurricane is one of the most terrifying weapons in the game, even at III. Put the armor piercing mod on it and it's maybe the best ranged boss-killer there is on most classes.

I'm starting to have a hard time justifying not using my Scorpion II on most of my casters. With ULM, it puts my Gethgineer at 198% power recharge, hits multiple targets, has proxy mine-type utility, and staggers so other people's powers aren't dodged (not that it's a problem for my Overload). Using Geth-O-Vision to see when someone's about to walk into the room, and dropping them as traps in the doorway never fails to amuse.
I mean, I get that the Falcon is better in some circumstances (ammo powers, in particular), but the Scorpion is really useful due to its modified weight. I used to swear by my Disciple X, but I'm starting to be won over by Major Kirrahe.
HOLD THE LINE!

Well, the main thing I like about the Falcon is that its explosion is instant.
Scorpion is really good too though.

Yeah, was using the Scorpion in SP for a couple of missions. Once I got past how it worked (delayed explosions and what not) and started learning how to properly use it (it's not a traditional point and click pistol) it was awesome.
But does the explosion do the same damage if it explodes at the feet, versus exploding at the head? Obviously not for bosses, but for everyone else?

Just had a pretty fun match with Demolisher(me), Fury, Krogan and Vorcha Sentinel.
We managed to beat it in 13 minutes which even though it was silver is pretty cool for a bunch of random players who weren't even trying.
Between the biotics, tech, and grenades there were explosions everywhere.

I think the main drawback is that instant feet explosions don't apply ammo effects.
But for random scrub matches where you're not using ammo consumables at all (like, I run mostly silvers), this drawback is not consequential.
On the other hand, if you do use ammo powers, and you direct shot someone, the ammo effect is immediate, happening before the delayed explosion (and making the resulting pyrotechnics if you manage a combo even more spectacular). Pretty good crowd control, especially when the intial shot often staggers mooks.
Man, I hope I get a couple more Scorpion ranks when the next DLC comes out and I blow my (by then) couple million credits.

Me too
The Scorpion is one of my faves, and I probably slap it on more classes than I need to. But it was also my very first UR, so that affects my feelings on it

Well, there isn't much more satisfying than running into a Phantom, shooting a sticky bomb onto her face, then detonating another one at her feet, so she's staggered, and then staggered again.
Bioware Devs chatty. New changes for the next Patch confirmed:
- Vanguard bug fixed (again)
- Incinerate Evolution 6 fix
- Concussive Shot Amplification fix
- Asari Justicar power damage fix
- Asari Justicar bug: Can't deploy BB next to big enemies - fixed
- Drell kits to receive some sort of improvement beyond number changes
- SMG Ultralight materials fixed (again)
- Singularity bug: Detonating a biotic combo next to a Singularity ends the Singularity - fixed
All I can say is:
"Ah yes, Patches. We have dismissed that claim (three months ago)."
this week a shot a phantom with the scorpion, got stabbed, and promptly survived when she got staggered by the explosion
felt like a boss

I like the idea of Drell kits getting buffed with something to get their unique status back, now that there is an actual ninja assassin class
but i feel the drell adept is highly underestimated
it's still one of my favorite classes, and was the first one i cleared gold with
I dunno. What makes the Drell adept so good are his grenades.
Maybe I'm weird, but when I think Adept in the context in Mass Effect, I don't think of someone taking as many grenades with them as possible and just chug five of them at an Atlas. Grenades are a Soldier's tool. When I think Adept, I think cool biotic powers. Like Reave, Biotic Sphere, Dark CHannel, Annihilation Field, Warp, Throw. Even Singularity with it's buffs and Pull if it were more useful.
Anyways. That aside the Drell Adept is definitely a good class in terms of Performance.
Drell Vanguard on the other hand
I wish they just replaced Drell Vanguards Pull with Reave.

Yeah, I still play Drell Adept a lot too
I get that the grenades are pretty crucial to the class, but I have the most fun flipping around at high speed and laying the Bruce Lee on real thick
We have plans to improve the Drell kits in the future. Unfortunately at this time we are a little limited by what we can change with weekly live updates.
I hate to even bring this up, but why is Jack not the Jack card?
And why is FemShep the inferior default from earlier games instead of the great default from ME3? And why is she an Ace rather than a King? This is no time to get all gender requirementy on us. (sidebar: it does look like it's a ME2-era piece of art, so I guess that explains some of it).
Furthermore, Wrex should be a king. Fuck Thane. And Legion can replace Kaidan. I'd rather romance him any day.
I wish they just replaced Drell Vanguards Pull with Reave.
That's reserved for Vangod Shepard. Having the ability to prime a shielded target and then detonate via charge would likely make the game too easy in MP.

kroguard's rage, vacuum synckills, and stunlock are supposed to be fixed in the next patch.
Choose wisely.

I bet the eagle 7 or so is a terror
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat
i haven't touched it
i guess i should try it out
i'm still skeptical

This.
I've got the Hurricane and Eagle at III and the Crusader and Valiant at IV.
Makes it a bit harder to find the love compared to my workhorse weapons at X.
So even if the higher ranks are awesome, it might not be until sometime in 2013 that I can begin to really appreciate them.

I don't know what character this is supposed to be, but the remarks say it's for the Polish edition of Mass Effect 2
Shepard and Urdnot Mordin

Cool looking Salarian
