Renovating my apartment, and I have a shit ton of wires all over the place (computer console, entertainment system, etc) How would I go about making it neat and organized?

Also my couch is where my TV used to be, so the cable wires are just blatantly laying in the middle of my living room floor, do you guys have a remedy for this? My TV is accross the room on the other side for reference.

I would suggest as opposed of running the cable through the middle of your floor run it along the corner of the wall/floor bit.

You could also looking at cabling everything up so you only have one cable.

A couple of pictures may help ;). What we do at my house is either

    1) Wireless
    B) If wired, run it through a wall.

    Also, Blaket is smart!

I had a similar problem with my apartment, so I got some foam tubing and extension wires, and ran everything through it. Then I put the tube along the side of the wall to the outlet so no one trips over it. Makes it look a lot nicer if you don't want to tear up your entire carpet or bash a hole in the wall.

If you have wall-to-wall carpeting, you could also put this under the carpet along the wall. That's not difficult. For me, it worked well for a while, but I found myself messing around with the wires so often it just wasn't worth the hassle of pulling up the carpet all the time.

If you have easily removed baseboards, you can pull them off and make a grove along the drywall, with notches in the baseboard where you need the cable to exit. Looks beautiful when done with half an ounce of giveadamn.

That's what I'm thinking of trying once I get my place. It seems like it'd be an easy way to hide cables.
