Help with Bethesda Speakers

So I got the Bethesda Speakers at PAX and I can't figure out to increase their volume, I hooked em up to my laptop and while they have decent sound quality, even at max volume, the volume is incredibly low. Does anyone know how to fix this and/or make the sound come out of my laptop and out of the speakers at the same time because right now its either one or the other
