I chose green. I guess I played leviathan though so maybe thats why it made more sense to me. Probably not though. It's just a good ending. I mean, I figured the rage would be overblown, but wow.
I thought it was foreshadowed pretty well through the whole game. THe bit on Rannoch, the conversation at the end of Thessia, all of it. They did pretty good.
It's still much nicer Extended

Trust me, it's this. Even people who loathe the ending feel that if Leviathan had been in the game in the first place, it wouldn't have been so vexing. The extended cut wouldn't have needed to exist.
I don't have much interest in the extended cut because I was perfectly happy with the ending as it was
Yep, there ya go. Without the plot elements introduced in Leviathan, it was pretty unsatisfying, especially for people who wanted to feel like their choice mattered
original ME3 ending spoilers
the ending cutscenes were functionally identical, the biggest differences being who walked out of the Normandy when it crashed and the color of the explosions changing.
That's fair. You can just Youtube it. It's nice. The Green ending is particularly cool.
The Extended Cut is basically a few extra scenes, and some Fallout-style slides showing the consequences of some of your major decisions, narrated by one of the major characters depending on your choice.

banshee pulls the usual dodge-and-weave around a corner bullshit where she appears out of nowhere and grabs you just as soon as she materializes
I sigh and prepare to sit out the round
but
when the hand stab comes, the full animation plays out
I haven't seen that in ages
and when she drops me to the ground
I get back up
my shields are gone, and so is my health, but the last bar is flashing, and hollow
I am dead, yet I live
further, from this point I cannot die
I'll lose my shields and whatever health I have, but always the unflinching hollow health bar remains
I got grabbed four more times in that game and survived each time
Your choices mattered for the whole game. The entire game was "and here's how this guy turned out because of what you did in number two". The leviathan thing was nice colour (would have liked to see him in the last battle) but to be honest I just think the criticisms of the ending are largely horseshit.

Tube, you playing multi at all? If so, do you have a favorite class/race?
A lot of people's problems with the ending stems from the idea that any character's spoken dialogue (especially that one guy in the ending, you know the one) must be fully supported by the developers as absolute truth
Some people - nobody in this topic, of course, but it's really prevalent in the larger discourse about the ending - don't really get the idea that when different characters disagree, they can all be wrong, even the guy who wins the argument

Just this lone soldier fighting on
Years after the war ends he travels the galaxy, becoming the most renowned and highly-paid mercenary in space because no matter what, no matter how hard you hit him, he'll always get up and finish the job
But then he starts to hate it
Starts to long for death
Now he wanders the empty tracts of space, facing down men and monsters and horrors of all kinds, trying to find the one thing in the universe that can kill him

Theory re: the Battlefield 3 multiplayer Soldier
exposure to Prothean artifacts altered a battalion of Alliance soldiers' armor
gave them the ability to shoot fire out of their guns

One year later, in a shady bar on Omega. (like there's any other kind)
"This takes me back. So, some bastard or other had hired me for another job, and said I'd be getting a guddam partner. I said that hadn't work out for a long time, but he wouldn't listen. Said this guy was a guddam immortal or something.
Well, if he was, he had a funny way of showing it. I'm still cleaning 'immortal' brains off my guddam armor."
Pulling the trigger on the Klendagon gun would be good, but running through a Reaper, fighting its defenses, and shooting it in the brain with the Cain would be very good, too

Zaeed rules and he gives a flamethrower/inferno grenades
I want the next operation to be called Operation Kill All Geth Hunters and the goal is to kill a few hundred thousand geth hunters and if successful they will replace geth hunters with a less annoying enemy

I'm a huge fan of Geth Engineer, m'self.
Also I heard you see tali's face. I did not. Disappoint!

do you want me to post a picture of Tali's face behind spoiler tags? it's very easy to miss in game.

squad goal: complete wave 10 without using consumables
you read right
squad goal
I went green and felt the same way
The only real problem I had is that the endings are all very similar, which just kind of feels like a cheat at the end of such a huge series
And the extended cut helped with that so I have no complaints
Still need to play leviathan though
eh, not so hard on bronze, as long as everyone in the group is not a moron
Though LotSB is probably more fun just because Leviathan doesn't have any cool bosses
but mmm that gameplay
It's fine
Pulling the trigger on the Klendagon gun would be good, but running through a Reaper, fighting its defenses, and shooting it in the brain with the Cain would be very good, too
Hell give us both
I hate Zaeed and I hate this
Don't forget
It's an incredibly cool scene, I admit
wait, really?
Yeah. You need him, otherwise, so Shepard never even thinks to off him.
