i don't understand the complaint that p4a "has a two button dp" like it's a bad thing
there's nothing hard about doing a shoryuken motion in street fighter, it's just an arbitrary entry barrier for new people in this already really insular community currently filled with a lot of awful awful people
I think it's less that the motion is an execution barrier and more that incorporating stick motion in a reversal or AA affects the economy of movement. I don't know anything about how DPs work in P4A though.

And I thought P4A actually looked cool, but I had my suspicions about whether it would gain class mobility and get out of poverty. I've gotta get a working Xbox and sink some time into Marvel. Maybe see how the SFxT patch goes. After that I'll look at picking up another game.

not every "DP" in p4a is actually a shoryuken
they're all reversals but they do different stuff - for some characters it's a parry+counter, for some it's a command throw, for some it's an uppercut
