Hello job thread, I'm currently interviewing with a company in the SF bay area and I know a couple forumers in here are around that area, so I had a couple questions
What are living expenses like in the area? Specifically around Palo Alto. Rents are pretty crazy from what I've seen (compared to what I'm paying now anyway), but what are food/utilities/etc like?
What is mass transit like around there? The VTA seems pretty decent from their webpage, but I have no idea really
I'm Canadian; are there any Canadians/Americans here working in the other country? I'd like to get an idea of the amount of government related crap I'd have to go through to work there with the dual residency and tax filings

Two weeks ago I realized my restaurant of 5 years was shitting itself uncontrollably. So I quit.
My job is now "Get ready to drive all over the continental US by myself."
Soon my job will be "Drive way too much and see cool/boring/unique shit all over the continental US."
The current job sucks, but I hope the new job is worth it.
