That's awesome, congrats! So what kind of mats do you need for the crafted exotics that are different from the rares?
The three pieces, I should mention, are helmet shoulders and tunic so far. You need the 400 requirement rares, gossamer, and hard leather, and Ectoplasm which you get from salvaging oranges, or a rare drop from salvaging 70+ Yellows. Its super expensive to pick up on the TP, and farming it can be hit or miss, so its a pain so far to craft it. I'm really digging the look so far.
CorriganX on Steam and just about everywhere else.
When they first announced the end game stuff they did a video that talked about combining the two blades so that at night it is Twilight and at day it's Daybreak (I think that's the name).
Nothing more has been said on this. I do not know the procedure other than I want to make it happen.
YOU TEASE.
But you said you liked the look... so did they show the blade in this video? Do you know where this video was? I WANT TO SEE EEEET!
I guess I meant I liked the look of them individually and in my head they look awesome as one.
I would still like to see this picture of them individually... or was this from the video?
Do you remember what the video was called? You've got me all hot and bothered.

I had a different pug group and much smoother go again through AC story with a mesmer, ranger, warrior, guardian and necromancer (me), seemed most if not all of us had been there before and they were mostly high 30s to mid 40s (me being the lowest at 32).
I switched out corrupt boon with well of power to help remove conditions--plague signet seems buggy sometimes, course if it really did its job well I would probably be dead way more often--and (I'm guessing) the guardian and mesmer seemed to have a fair share of condition removals as well. Since I was reviving a bunch of people last run I turned my first blood trait into the create blood well on revive which if nothing else gave me another combo field to enjoy. More combo fields were being thrown about by teammates but it's kinda too bad that other than my 2 well deviation the very awesome build Huggles provided has no combo interaction. I had used staff last run for marks, but decided to follow Huggles to the letter and did find some nice kiting from using the dagger and sometimes it's just good to go up and stab elementalists.
It shows that with the right people and know how you can make these dungeons smooth and fun, but I imagine a lot of newbie pugs like the first one I was in will get more of the "once bitten twice shy" response.
I do wish armor wouldn't break on a single death but I can understand why in order to balance out rez rushing.
One thing I really wish they would add is the ability to craft straight out of your bank and/or collection. Especially with cooking, having to have everything in your inventory is quite a pain.
This is especially true for discoveries, because having to move like 10 different types of items from the bank everytime you want to experiment gets old fast.

fffffff.... haven't watched video... but that screencap from it... fffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Is cooking as annoyingly costly as the in-game warning messages make it out to be? The Toughest Crafting Discipline and all that? I generally like playing the obscure but possibly very helpful crafting types but the warnings are scaring me off.
You have to buy a lot of stuff with karma, and you have to buy a LOT of stuff with copper, like water, sugar, flour, etc. that cost like 80 copper per 10, but you will need a million of. It's honestly not that costly. My guardian is 71 and my thief is 40, and I levelled my thief's cooking to 400 already so I could make great foods. The most "annoying" thing about cooking is that for some ingredients, such as peaches that are used in some of the better high level foods, you have to seek out one specific heart vendor in the whole world, and you'd never happen upon him unless you actually quested fireheart rise. There are quite a few ingredients like that, where they're only available on one or a few karma vendors after completing their hearts. The good news is since the ingredients are account bound(karma bought ones), you can get them on any character and just throw them in the collectibles.
I can tell you that the buffs the foods give are crazy good. My 70+ foods are like 28% magic find and 30% bonus gold from kills, or like 80 toughness 60 vitality, things like that.

If you want to discover everything and explore your options, it's hella expensive and will destroy your bank. If you use a good guide like I did, you'll be 400 in an hour. I didn't keep track of the cost, but I don't think it's more than ~75 Silver + 2k Karma
The food you make gives incredibly good buffs, I think that you'll be able to turn a pretty strong profit once people realize that.

It doesn't break on a single death.
It gets "damaged" which doesn't affect the stats at all. Once all 6 pieces of armor are damaged, then they start "breaking", one at a time.

I too would like to see the guide. I don't think I'm going to try to get to 400, but I wouldn't mind getting high enough to craft some +magic find gear.
I've been seeing all kinds of karma food vendors around and have bought a couple of each mostly.
One thing I really wish they would add is the ability to craft straight out of your bank and/or collection. Especially with cooking, having to have everything in your inventory is quite a pain.
I hear that.
Not sure how likely it would be though, would be awesome but they might worry that could discourage some people from buying gems to unlock bag slots.
Having used the custom playlists for most of my time now, I can say the dynamic music system itself is a little broken. The battle music starts and ends far too quickly. It has no idea how to tell whether you're fighting or not besides in or out of combat, so if you're in a series of ongoing skirmishes it starts new songs and abruptly stops them. About half the time it decides to turn on Boss Battle when you're not fighting a champion, it starts and abruptly cuts off the normal Battle playlist. Also, even if you don't drop out of combat, if you fight a new group of enemies, sometimes it will change the music. Another feature I would like is to have it pause/resume music after something plays, like a viewpoint or a battle.
The other major issue is that although there are rather a lot of songs in the game, there are only 5-6 1-3 minute songs for each ZONE, some of which we've already heard a million times from GW1.
Also, although I love Jeremy Soule dearly as a composer (he makes the music for almost all of my favorite games ever), he tends to be quite samey on 90% of the songs in a given soundtrack, and make 2-4 awesome ones. It's the same in GW2.
I'm STILL waiting for the official forums to go up so I can make sure they know their custom playlists are broken. If you 're wondering, it's:
Main Menu: Fully functional. (doesn't shuffle, which is by design, I believe)
Ambient: Broken! (normal music plays)
Nighttime: Fully functional.
Underwater: Broken! (worked in beta)
City: Broken! (normal music plays)
Crafting: Broken! (city music or no music plays)
Battle: Functional. (see above)
Boss Battle: Functional. (see above)
I'm attempting to gather together parts for the most He-Man looking armor set possible. Has anyone in their travels seen heavy armor pants that looks like a loincloth and not a kilt on a Norn?

Fixed that for you.
There are 7 pieces that can get damaged. The back piece counts as armor in the system. Note damaged system only counts equipped items, so if you are a new player without a hat or shoulder guards it can be as little as 3.
i'm a bit worried about the auction house actually, is it server based or entire community based? I ask because we saw what happened to diablo 3's economy...

It's global.
Which is a feature I absolutely adore. I hated having one of those people in my guild, while playing Warcraft, who would gloat about reaching the gold cap because they used addons and too much time to monopolize the market. Too much ego-stroking and crap, just upset me. I prefer it global.

So I finally saw the pictures from the "raid" last night and realized I was the only Charr. Y'all have made some poor choices, just saying.
If you think that pugging will get easier as game knowledge and average player skill goes up, as a function of time, then you're right!
If you think pugging is tough right now because people might not yet know the fundamentals, or how to use combo fields, or effective endurance management, you're right!
If you think pugging will never be viable, you're wrong!
What I'm wondering is how long until we get WoW style gear/achievement checks for pugs.
Never, gear is only one factor of a persons build and achievements hardly give enough information. Basically those sort of people are already being laughed at, and rightfully so.
I think gear is a bigger factor than you are making it out to be. Being a Lv80 running around in Lv60 blues and trying to run through dungeons, you get flatened. Go compare yourself to some of the other people in your party stat wise who have a few or more pieces of lv80 gear. Yes, you get scaled down to the dungeon's level, but those people with better stats/gear will still have better stats/gear than you. When we tried running through CM explorable the other day, I was running with people who had double my HP and better defense because they had better stats/gear at 80. Gear is most definitely going to be an issue when bringing people along on crazy difficult explorable runs. It might not be as obsessive an issue like an other games, but it will most certainly play a part in whether or not I'd bring somebody with me on a run. I'm going to hold off on trying the explorables until I finish off replacing my trashy low level gear with appropriate level stuff. I'll give them another try once I'm geared for it.
As to the PUGability of the dungeons; the story modes can be, they are all easy enough IMO (with the exception of AC, because people fresh to lv 30 have the least grasp on how to actually play their classes/game mechanics/etc to make the run go smoothly). Explorables are a whole other beast. IMO, stuff that shouldn't be run until Lv80 and decked out in gear/stats of that lv.
