[ShootMania Storm] Played it at PAX, thoughts so far?

So I went to my first PAX last weekend and I tried out Shootmania, this simple game groomed to be an eSport has kind of intrigued me. Has anyone else played it and what are your thoughts on it so far?

    I love Trackmania and I love shooters.

    I watched a lot it when Totalbiscuit put up a bunch of videos. It was compelling in the same way that I find cricket compelling; I only really watched it because there was nothing else to do, but it has a rather interesting set of mechanics that allow for some interesting tactics, and it often seemed like individual skill was only a small part of the whole thing, and even play by play tactics don't always seem quite so important. Not sure if I'd play it, but looks pretty cool.
