jack and LE are both interesting villains for different reasons
jack is ultimately a part of the system. He's a game construct gone rogue that is trying to burn the whole thing down
LE is a immature power-gamer who broke the system and is now using it prove that he's the best there is, primarily by wiping out any memory of the sister that was always better at games than him
Jack and LE remind me a lot of Agent Smith and 'The Machines' from the Matrix. Jack is going to his best to burn the whole thing and assert as much control as possible; whereas LE is just trying to control the whole system abusing the rules that are currently in place.
I also just recently played through Mother 2 and 3, and the similarities to the overall structure of Homestuck really hit me hard.. With the four kids of M2 trying to destroy the big evil, but a meddling Troll escapes from that session, and their world eventually is destroyed, and it's up to the 'kids' of M3 to actually stop him. However some of the essence of the first four is clearly within them. Also the suggestion that
Ness is Lucas' ancestor of some variety, and his Franklin badge has been in the family for generations. Lucas' actual grandfather's name Alec, is one of the default names you can select for Ness in Mother 2.
Was like, super Homestucky to me.
Granted if Homestuck ends like Mother 3, well fuck... I'm going to cry and then feel really depressed.
Although I'm definitely shipping Lucas x Kumatora right now.

Kumatora is great, definitely one of my favorite characters ever (hence the sig).
The Mother series and Homestuck share a lot of similarities but the one that has always been the most striking to me is how they tend to let the reader infer things rather than spell it out.
2009: 3 pages. WV presses the tab key on the now just regular Apple keyboard, which opens the previous locked panel, revealing it to be full of the world's first diet soda, TAB.
2010: 8 pages. Over on LOLAR, we see a somewhat nervous looking tortoise consort. Rose asks her trustly salamander familiar, Salamancer, for her wand. She gathers up the dark enyrjjies and blows up a nearby island complex, sending tortoises flying every which way. Our consort friend from earlier is even more nervous.

Boingloings.
Steam // Secret Satan
two weeks after that probably doesn't work either
taya your robotic mind will never truly understand just how malleable the word 'nuts' is.
just stop before all this input fries your update circuits.
uh, haha
you mean Ryan North, right?
we all know who's in charge of the purse strings in that relationship
and then there were two horrible fantrolls even though one of them writes the comic anyway
spoiler: hussie's horrible fantroll is eridan
you don't know that for sure, maybe they both donated 100,000
or maybe a million and we just haven't reached the point where eridan becomes the most important character in homestuck

Not that I'm like Nostradamus or anything right now, but I've got a good feeling that I had a good feeling about this.
