Confession: The night PAX started, my girlfriend went on a trip somewhere else and I forgot. When she sent me a text about being at the airport, I thought she went to PAX without me and got super jealous that she didn't invite me, until she reminded me where she actually went.
I love this.
I was super sad for a whole hour! I seriously thought she didn't tell me because she thought I was broke or something.
Today I was out checking out the shops along Hawthorne ave by the Baghdad theatre. I found a little art shop that had a bunch of sculpture, and one was of the egyptian goddess bast. At the time I sorta wanted the statue but I couldn't think of a place to put it, but now I want it and I know exactly where I'd put it.
I have nutella in the cupoard but I'm scared to break the seal on the jar
I'll wake up in a few hours in a cold sweat, empty jar clutched in one hand, spoon in the other. Somehow missing my pants and one shoe, chocolate spread on my face like war paint
A hard-learned lesson is to not store nutella in the fridge! I made the mistake of keeping it in the fridge, then got a craving and toasted some cinnamon raisin bread and reached in, only to find the nutella in a solid state. Had to wait hours for it to de-harden

Confession I suppose: When I was a child I went to Florida during my school holidays (my grandfather moved there from Gloucester and we went to visit him). After we had arrived and settled in, he took us for a meal, at which point I spent 45 minutes disbelievingly arguing that the stuff they had served on my food was not actually cheese but in fact a type of salt-flavoured yellow plastic tile.
Nearly twenty years on I feel a bit embarrassed about that. Still can't stand processed cheese though. Also spray cheese should be reclassified as a chemical weapon.

Quite possibly! I don't know the brand I'm afraid; I mostly just remember recoiling in shock, and then feeling a lot if righteous indignation. In fairness, seven year old me tended to do this quite a bit. It was bad cheese though. Is easy cheese what the spray stuff is called? I'll take them at their word on easy, but not on cheese...
@Antimatter I haven't really known you or interacted with you for very long (2 days ago?) but you seem pretty cool. Don't let some goose who has to hide behind an anonymous identity get you down!
Now I think there are a lot of great people on these forums but I can't help but feel there's is an underlying homophobic culture about this place. I saw a ton of hompobic posts on these forums in the older times, and now I just see the people who would say the nastiest things about gay people act like they've always been accepting of gay people.
You have a nemesis! They're responsible for brainwashing good honest forumers and turning them against you. So it's understandable why you think about them all the time. Even though they've been banned for years. But you don't harbour any kind of grudge, no way, you just compare people to them as a go-to insult for comedic purposes.
I'm pretty certain that the person who is all concerned that Anti is turning into TFS is the same person who took "ask me anything" to mean "passive-aggressively criticize me in the form of multiple questions" and needs to examine why the fuck they're doing that and also stop. Anti as someone who likes both you and Karen and still talks to her you are definitely not "turning into her".

man, thinking back to the voting to get banned thing, I totally voted for TFS for unrelated reasons when Pony's rant for why he shouldn't be banned was transphobic as all get out. I feel bad about that, even though I don't like Karen.
I am literally in awe of @Stale. I've known many men who have been broken by a fraction of the shit he's been through, and just look at him go! Still cooking and cracking jokes and being cool. It is genuinely inspiring.

I'm especially pissed off and conflicted about this now as well, because this is a great thread and a tool which has obviously helped a lot of people get stuff off their chest or find support with their problems.
And now someone's gone and spoiled it by anonymously insulting someone (hell, two people) for no fucking good reason.
