Two kittens, one ring.

First,
Sorry about the bad joke.

I adopted two kittens about a month ago, one of the kittens had a spot on one of its paws that made it look darkish grey against her white fur (Shes a calico so is mostly white, with grey tabby and orange mixed) and it covered just one of her claws. I cleaned it at the time but put it down to either an injury or just a spot of color since the fur was still on the spot and everything i looked up said that if it was ringworm the hair would have fallen out. last week someone suggested that it might be ringworm, and i scheduled an appointment feeling it probably wasnt since everything i read said it was really contageous and i expected it would have spread to her paw if thats what it was but it had not (Couldnt get one until this coming Sat) since they needed some more shots anyway...however two days ago i found a patch of rough skin on the other kittten with the same texture. I phoned a vet and they suggested using an anti-fungal cream on it until i could bring them in to look at.

I applied the cream but now im in the situation where two cats could bounce this around each other and some of the more pessimistic websites are saying the entire house needs to be cleaned carefully. Due to my work schedule, i feel like im facing a losing battle already. The idea of isolating them from each other isnt really fesible due to space limitations, (not to mention cruel as they have gotten very close to each other), so im looking for the best solution if it turns out to really be ringworm.

I thought maybe having them both shaved would be the better solution as i could medicate them as completely as possible not missing anything (One of them is long hair), but then found out that if it is ringworm most shops wont shave them to keep it from spreading.

Without complete quaranteen, what is a good procedure to follow?
