AD champs w/ lots of poke, ie Varus, Ez, Sivir - how build? I am frequently tempted to Manamune it up, but I know this is not THE WAY. I'm getting pretty good w/ skillshots, but I run myself out of mana quickly if I build pure AD.
That's because the point of the poke is to set it up accurately. It wins you the lane but I don't think it's the intent to kill people with poke chars.
It will never stop being funny to me that a mere 8 months ago everyone though Ezreal was garbage and needed massive buffs.
I'm afraid that once the Soraka model rework finally comes she's going to be in every game again
I think the new Morgana and MF splashes are an improvement, but it is true they don't fit the style at all. I don't understand exactly what Riot is going for, even the brand new splashes aren't consistent, and then there's Chinese splashes and really old ones they haven't bothered replacing making it even worse.

If it means anything, I never thought he was garbage. I didn't play him because I only like to play manly men. :P People just didn't bother playing him and getting to know him, then once PFE came out, everyone HAD to play him. Now we see the bs that he was all along.

This isn't strictly true. He's apparently been seen as top tier on the Chinese server for a long, long time, which was Riot's justification for not buffing him.
I'd also argue that he's received indirect buffs with things like the sustain nerfs (which improved the relative strength of carries wanting to focus on trades over farm in lane) and the overall mobility creep (which makes his escape relatively more useful).

That is true, especially the nerfs to passive supports. It's just really funny that this thread is from May, and here we are today.
Morg's new portrait is horrible. The new splash is fine but I don't know why the portrait needed changing to that.
Morg's old portrait was worse; both are silly and don't match the art style, but at least the new one looks like she might kill you rather than post dopey poetry on her LiveJournal.

The thing about ez, is that his escape is a flash. Make it
a dash like Graves, Corki, so that he can be still pulled/stunned in the middle of it, and i think that he comes a bit down to earth...

His flash aint the problem. Its his Q and W making him the best AD carry at low levels.

8 months ago people picking Ez were doing Mystic Shot primary, that was the problem.

In other news, Firefox Ahri still continues to give no fucks at all
Nunu repeated d/c throughout game, d/c last 7 mins? No problem
Team really wants you to go top vs Nasus to let Yorick take Teemo mid? No problem. Less farm than expected but whatever

Ezreal's shift has a short cast time to it. During which he can be targeted by any additional auto attacks, spells, etc. and they will happily follow him to his shift destination.

Could Riot at least make Ezreal Bot pretend to not have inhuman reflexes?
When Cassiopeia Bot came out, people realized that the delay on Cass' Q was such that if you aimed it at the exact center of the enemy's model, it would never miss.

For the record, teleport has a similar window at the end of the channel where it won't be interrupted anymore, but you can hit them - seeing a youtube video of Blitzcrank pulling someone literally across the entire map was hilarious.

It's really funny that people complain about Ezreal being OP, when all they did was reduce the mana cost on his W a bit.
I learned how to skillshot with Ez, and I really enjoy playing him. I love the way he's viable as an AP mid or an AD carry or even a bit of a tanky bruiser top in the same way as Nidalee. I still like playing him hybrid and a bit bulky in Dominion, though.

Not a a Blitz grab.....
If you cast the shift before the fist hits you then you should be able to shift out.
If Poppy targeted a charge that would have pinned you to a wall then you will get forced back to her position right on that wall after the shift.
There are lots of champs that aren't considered strong that actually are, people just don't play them properly.
The ones I don't like seeing that no one plays are Viktor, Sejuani and Xerath (I despise Xerath and think he is secretly OP).
I have a great deal of contempt for people who play champs based on how strong they are perceived to be. It's like net decking. You're missing the best part of the game right there.

Well his W is what makes him so good.
Oh, I know. But people didn't seem to realise how good an attack speed debuff was in AD Carry duels. It's only really good for the damage versus AP, so.

Viktor is great if you can get people to fight you in the jungle or any narrow corridor. No one plays him because his late game is gimped due to his Hexcore, and he's kind of buggy (people not being able to see his lasers). Really, there are so many viable mids right now (and that's not including my views on ADs in mid), so you don't need much of an excuse to not play someone.
Xerath is just Lux with stuns and shorter range, really. Nothing wrong with him, he's just kinda meh.
As for Sejuani, I don't know if you've ever jungled extensively, but's she's just terribly unfun to play, honestly. Her jungle starts slow gets slower progressively through the game, her cooldowns feel long, she has shit sustain, constant mana problems, her slows are nice, but you really can't 'feel' how useful they are (as opposed to a stun), she can't duel for shit, her base stats and stats-per-level are balls, her ult is a skillshot, etc. etc. etc.
The entire time you play Sej, it's like chasing fires that you really can't put out. You simply can't itemize for everything you want and need on the gold you get out of the jungle.
I honestly think the biggest reason other carries are less played is down to the fact that the majority of bruisers/assassains released now have far more capacity to find them in a team fight and brutally maul them.
Rengar's pretty much the perfect example of this, heck it's what he's best at is jumping on the enemy carry and double Qing them for victory to either kill or force them from the fight. Diana's naturally good at it too.
If a carry doesn't have a positioning tool it makes them so much more susceptible to being dog piled by the enemy tank and bruiser. Especially as if the opposing team is running a mobile carry the tank is less likely to need to peel off to help control the bruiser.

That's exactly what I'm talking about though. I think people play her terribly wrong and try to do things she just isn't good at. They get frustrated and give up, so no one really plays her. You can't just throw together a standard 1-1-1-2 comp and have her work, she needs specific things from each lane, things which I am not 100% sure about because she is played so rarely. I haven't had one on my team since the week after she came out, but I have seen her on the other team once in awhile and she can be terrifying. The second top or bot is even a little past their river, Sej can run through a ward and still have enough time to enable a kill or at least force summoners.
At the same time, I think there is nothing wrong with having champs that are only situationally good. They have their niche and it works for them.
Using Syndra's Force of Will to hit an enemy unit with the Lizard Elder will apply the debuff on them. Also if Syndra throws the Ancient Golem she will be refunded 10 mana and the ability's cooldown will be lowered by 1 second.
Did not know this.
That's the thing though. There is no niche for Sej.
I'm telling ya, once she starts getting attention, people will figure out how to make her work and you'll see tons of her. It will likely take some odd buff for it to happen, but she'll turn out to be OP and everyone will be crying for nerfs.
Then she'll get a 5ms nerf and no one will play her.

Why would she get attention when no one knows how to make her work? She's just an awful champ.

Damn. When I saw that, I actually tried clicking "cancel" for you.
Still? Goddamn. At this rate, that Janna skin is going to be redefined as a Silver achievement.
Yelling at butts will never NOT be funny. Thanks, Psy!

I used to get whined at for picking Ez when people wanted an AD bot.
"ap mid?"
"no"
"wtffff"
He hasn't changed in any significant way, only people's perceptions thanks to the pros. :rotate:

Got a game, never got to champ select. Relogged, now it says "game abandoned" and I can't reconnect. Woo.

1) doesn't need red (countered by needing blue more or less constantly while jungling)
2) ulti is incredible. It has massive range and a decent stun that can come out of no where.
To make that bad though:
terrible mana
terrible cooldowns
no damage past kind of average either burst or DPS early on (depending on W or E build).
I like her in games where your top lane is a bit squishy (like a talon as opposed to a bruiser)
Why would she get attention when no one knows how to make her work? She's just an awful champ.
Her abilities are all pretty good to me. I just feel like she needs some numbers tweaking on them to make her a bit better (and maybe have her W slow)
Sej, Singed, Shy Teemo and Shen to taunt I guess.
