I want an honor button for people that are simply carryable. Nothing fancy about them in particular - they don't feed, they don't carry, they don't really even say anything. They are adequately competent and I wouldn't mind having them on a team again.

Honour for not being functionally retarded. I like it.
Be sure to make a whiny indignation laced post if it ever catches on.
"Just because a large number of champions were nerfed and buffed, including kha'zix, over six months, doesn't mean I wasn't 100% right and just the only smart person in a sea of bads. Meta changes had nothing to do with it."

This, this right here is an apt description of my aims going into a game.
I've started putting whatever Lux says into chat. Stay positive! My honor per game has doubled.
Focus on the battle!
I have found that if you just repeat in all chat what your character says bitches go wild.

Incidentally, I don't think they should have put in a 'Helpful' Honor type -- giving advice in-game hardly ever does any good, no matter how politely you condescend.

I think the point of honor is supposed to be more than just "you did okay and are not a terrible human being"
Yay, Morello mentioned they're talking internally about doing some Jayce nerfs.
I think if they nerf the ratio on his Q it will be enough. Thats where a ton of abuse is coming in those championship games early. Like Nankoon was leveling it with a brutalizer and bloodthirster. Whoops I have close to 200 ad and none of you have built armor yet. Yep, these accelerated qs are really going to hurt at level 11.
Its also a delicate balance because he has no ult, so chopping out his e as well as q might be too much.
I think fundamentally he is super strong because of his design and the state of top lane. He can beat any bruiser up there by just building damage because of how safe he is. In order to truly address his unbalancing effect on the game they would need to change his kit, or change how top lane works.
So to be super hipster, nerf on his q ratio, perhaps slight reduction in hammer damage, maybe see it drop by 2-3% at all levels.

I think at a minimum I would be looking for a ranged Q ratio reduction and reduction of the % health bonus damage from his hammer knockback attack (or an AD ratio reduction for that attack).

That's what I press Teamwork for - people who don't need help putting their pants on in the morning. Doesn't matter if we get stomped, as long as they don't do stupid stuff.
The way I see it, being a little loose with my honor and handing it out a bit willy nilly means that someone will go "Oh hey! I got some honor!" Makes them smile a little, makes them feel good. Now they're in a good mood. Now they carry that good mood into the next game. Now they spread that good mood to other people.
It's minor, and it probably rarely happens like that, but if I make one person's day by throwing some honor their way that's good enough for me.
She can do that pretty damned well top lane too. Eclipse and Shield of daybreak combined do a pretty good job of shutting down an enemy's engage onto her. Yeah, you can hurt her, but not as much as most. Certainly not enough where she gives a crap. Farm under tower all day, build gp/10, and shut you down at any time for a jungler snack.

So then we can still measure a "players ability at a set of strategies" how can you say that one strategy "requires less technical skill" when well, anyone who has more "technical skill" could theoretically execute that same strategy...unless they were worse players
Quite easily.
Let me put it simply; extract the players of CLG.eu from their game against WE. Substitute in the players of many of the other teams into that match, with no other variable changed. When attempting to execute their strategy, I believe that quite a few teams in this tournament would execute the strategy more efficiently and more decisively. They could do so via getting more CS, more kills, more gold, or denying the enemy more gold, or by simply taking towers and finishing the match more quickly.
On the other hand, I think if you were to extract M5's players from any of their games, and put CLG.eu's players in, they would be unable to fulfill M5's strategy more efficiently and decisively.
In other words, I think CLG.eu's strategy is not at all difficult to fulfil. It is low risk, low reward, and generally that which requires little risk also requires less technical skill.
ADC's aren't really there to win 4v1's by turning it into a 5v1. If its a pick and the enemy isn't getting out it doesn't matter if the ADC is there to do damage to the enemy. ADC's are consistent damage primarily. What matters is if the ADC is there for(and surviving) the team fight.
I disagree. Many of the picks made in the other games we've seen this tournament succeeded because the ADC was in position to add more damage, and thus the pick resulted in a kill. As I said earlier, four of CLG.eu's picks did not result in a kill because they didn't have their DPS in position to add damage, and the player got away.
There was no threat to the DPS at any of those times; they were simply playing too defensively to get their team an advantage by capitalising on a pick.
No, it really does. In order to win in league of legends you have to win at least one fight. In order to "get ahead and stay ahead" like CLG does you first have to get ahead. You cannot say that CLG is "lower skilled" when they consistently get ahead and into the position where they can stay ahead or similarly if they get behind and then proceed to eek small advantages out until they are ahead.
In short, they had to score a goal somehow, and they have to score a goal to finish too. You cannot say "this strategy requires no skill" and then ignore the fact that it requires skill to get to the point where you can execute the strategy. Literally being technically excellent is a requirement of executing CLG's game
No, you don't have to win at least one fight. I've won a game with 0 kills all around. You could probably do the same with CLG's strategy, never actually winning a teamfight, and gaining your advantage solely through map objectives.
Additionally, they don't consistently get ahead. They lost to SK (who has already been eliminated) in the Regionals. They lost once in the playoffs, once again in the quarter-finals, possibly twice if you include the second game before it was remade.
If they are so technically excellent, they would be playing a strategy that affords them a far greater advantage in a far smaller time, with no risk because of just how technically excellent they are, which we have seen many of from other teams during this tournament. They are not.
Also, I'm going to leave this here, because I'm pretty sure it's been done to death, and everybody else in the thread is bored of it.
Bethryn, your argument is utterly pointless. Your are contending that CLG.eu are lesser skilled players than the majority of their opponents. They, however, consistently win their games. If they found a path to victory and they are getting Ws on their match slips, then I'd say that they are a better team overall. Talking about difficulty of execution, mechanical skill, etc is at the end of the day irrelevant. The team that wins the million dollars isn't the team with the most original comp or the highest k/d/a, its the team that wins. CLG.eu wins. That is their focus and that is what they do.

I'm not sure exactly what the scale of the argument here is, but I'm pretty sure any team that made it to the world championships are not a bunch of 800 Elo bads.
Also, in regards to the best top laner in existence, if you look hard enough you can find wingsofdeath playing lulu top multiple times on his stream recordings
ALSO what happened to the op of the month Nunu top lane? It was there for like half a day and then everybody just... Stopped.

which isn't really support per se
I think the point of honor is supposed to be more than just "you did okay and are not a terrible human being"
but
this is the lol playerbase we're talking about
i like to build support kha'zix with a pile of dead bodies
tons of structural integrity
Best supports kill anyone who wants to touch their carry.
You wouldn't understand Cass.
Its a man thing.
This is why Support Leona is the best. Except you take all the CS, and then you just 1v5 the enemy team fueled by your carry's tears.

Almost every time I hear someone hating on bot lane, it's because of a Blitz and/or Ezreal.
The moral of this story is that Blitz and Ez both need to die in a horrible nerf fire.
There we are then.
