yeah just in my first little bit of time playing i found myself getting annoyed at how you can't really dodge anything very well since these enemies are much faster than you and can practically jump right to you
also where's my sniper rifle, game. I NEED A SNIPER RIFLE
I'm reminded that I just love watching peoples' reactions to highly anticipated video game launches, I get a real spiteful thrill out of it
I empathise and nobody in this thread has been to this level, but watching people lose their shit when they can't log into the game within 10 minutes is fuckin funny
But I paid 36 whole dollars! That's slightly more than half of it's retail price! I DESERVE to play an hour or more before it officially releases in some places!

While trying to practice my accuracy with a controller against those boulder tossing bullywags, I "accidentally" (that is, got a few, decided to grind it out) capped the challenge to shoot those boulders out of the air
Now rocking a 173 badass level, aw yeah 8-)
Nice little handful of minor bonuses from the badges. Love how these carry over to other characters. It's just the sort of persistence that really gets me invested in games like this.
Also, maybe it's just me, but the way they've balanced the game really feels like you're still a high level character. That is, reloading is pretty fast, and you have immediate access to high fire rate weapons. So even though your damage is appropriately low for a level 1, you don't feel sluggish in the way you did at the start of BL1. Or at least, how I remember feeling. Its been a while.

when i found it i was super impressed. that's a great addition

I had my settings turned-up too high and the game started to chug like a steam-engine during the really insane bits. I didn't realize my leaving would fuck the rest of your games up.
It's fixed now.
I would like to also go on public record as saying that my shotgun that I throw like a grenade which then explodes every time I reload is my favorite gun so-far. The little scoped pistol that looks like a little yellow robot beetle is pretty great as well.
I'm primarily using a shotgun right now, but fucked if I'm going to give claptrap anything
Anyway. Time to sleep now. Plenty of borderlandsing tomorrow. I'm quite impressed with this package. Everything is just so slick. Game feels great to play and looks great besides.
couple things i wish they had fixed but didn't: only one instance of loot dropped instead of everyone getting a stab at it, needing to be the last person to land a hit for it to count to get back up.
Outside of these two things, it is more and better boarderlands so far. five stars.
