Dominican Republic May 5th, and I was wondering what to expect, fun things to do, warnings, etc. We're going for 2 weeks to an all-inclusive resort.

    It'll be hot.
    If you're planning on drinking alcohol, try to drink a lot of water before/after.
    Otherwise that nice big bright sun will burn your brains out during your hangover the next morning.

    Bring sun screen and use it! The sun there is very very intense and you'll burn quickly. Also, drink only bottled water.

    Go to a tanning salon and get your base tan, otherwise you will burn, even with sun screen. As much as tanning turned me off, everyone told me I needed to get my base tan before I went on my honeymoon to Mexico, and I'm extremely glad I did, based on the horrid burns some others got.
