This will likely never happen, but I think it would be nice to have a feature where some JavaScript automatically polls the DB for the topic list every 5-10 minutes, if the user has been inactive for that long. Say you leave the browser on, say, G+T while doing something else (bathroom, childcare, sexy time with a mate, etc.). When you come back, the page is up-to-date (give or take 5-10 minutes) with the topics ordering/new posts.

There are addons for Firefox and Chrome that do this already.
