So, this new video card I got just happened to have a coupon for a free Steam copy of BL2. They've already got my money and none of the locals want it. First to whisper sweet nothings to me in a PM gets the code.

Oddly enough, I payed with a Visa from USA and it went through on the first try with no problems. Got my key today, and I'm all preloaded and ready to go.
Hrm, trying to figure out which character I'll play first. Was thinking Axton since I didn't mind being Roland in the last game and being supportish but he just seems so boring. Probably end up play Salvador since I beat BL1 as Brick.
Well, I was able to make it to the GBX Community Day. Sadly though, like I mentioned a day or so ago, I wasn't able to stay for even a fraction of the amount of time I wanted to, nor will I be able to make it out to the BL2 Launch Party tonight. I do have to say though, my god was there more people this year than last. Like a chump I paid for the "VIP" package cause I'm a damn fanboy and I was hoping I'd be able to sit in on the BL2 panel, get another shirt signed by the dev team and obviously get some gaming in. After getting there though, I felt like a dick hole for even thinking about using my stupid VIP pass to cut in line considering that every station setup of A:CM and BL2 were literally dozens of people deep. Plus BL2 comes out in like... hours now, so I can wait.

Hah, like I said, that particular shirt and the postcards were from last years community day. I threw it into the picture just to include in something, since it has been in a closet for a year. I wanted to get the BL2 shirt signed, but the autograph session wasn't until later and I already had to leave.

Still nothing from Gearbox in the mail and since the GMG sale will end before Monday's mail is delivered I just went ahead and bought BL2. Guess I'll trade that code for a season pass whenever it shows up.

I honestly wouldn't have bought it at full price. I enjoyed borderlands, but I didn't love it. I think there is a potential for this sequel to fix everything wrong with the original, but I would have held off until the inevitable Steam Christmas sale if I wasn't able to get it at that price now.
Has anyone been able to preload the game from getting it from the Nvida code voucher... I gave mine to my roommate and it just says Borderlands 2 pre order in his list, but doesn't give him an option to preload.

The game looks to be incredibly popular, way more than the first at launch; particularly because of so many people getting it via super cheap sales over the last few years.
I'm sure BL2 will go on sale for whenever Steam does their holiday sale; but I'd be surprised if it went much less than 25% off. Maybe 33%; but either way I think it's going to be a lot longer to get it much cheaper than you can get it right now on GMG; than the first game was.
Just saying. If you don't want to get it now, don't. Just don't expect it to be any less in a few months.
Oh, if anyone's having serious credit card payment issues (as in "please contact your bank" message serious), and you know your bank is okay with GMG purchases, sending a support ticket to the GMG folks can get them to reset/unblock that card on your account and let you try again.
I was having multiple refusals on GMG's part after having no issues with multiple previous purchases using the same card, and that cleared it up.
