Tried Gunzerking with two Hyperion Pistols, one a flamer which fires slowly and another which fired normal bullets quickly. All who opposed me perished in hellfire.
And I do like how, rather than constantly making you start new story missions, they just update you current mission with the more immediate objectives that will lead to the ultimate goal.

Reunited with Sanctuary. Jesus do they throw a lot of side quests at you. The map was covered with yellow markers. The Claptrap one,
was so depressing. No one came to his birthday. I wanted to give him a bunch of money or something to cheer him up.
man yea, they really hose you down with sidequests at that particular point. im just about done clearing them all up before continuing on with the main quest, but its taken me a while.
also, has anyone found other ways to increase your backpack size besides the black market in sanctuary? it caps out at 27 there, and that seems... not big enough.
I'm almost positive I remember reading/hearing that it maxes out at 27. It might have been on that IGN commentary video with Randy Pitchford.

This game get stupid hard quickly if you don't find upgrades. God. Good chests are now scarce, vendors sell absolute crap and almost every purple I've found is hilariously bad. I'm level 21 using level 12 guns.
Not cool, Gearbox where did all the red chests go?
Not sure how I feel about the new economy. Sure I'm not finding $2,000 in a toilet with nothing to buy anymore, but I'm still not finding $2,000 in a toilet.

They hid them and generally extremely well.
Red chests? Any general tips what to look out for? I'm only in the first area (Sir Hammerlock) and I haven't seen any.
So I'm the only one of my friends playing Axton and it is hi-larious what the turret does with rocket pods and maxed out Sentry and Laser Sight and a mod that gives +2 to Sentry and increased cooldown.

Yes, but now there are port-a-potties filled with guns! With signs on the door that read "NO FAPPING!"

A bunch of things that don't look like chests are chests. Outhouses are Bandit Chests.
In the Hammerlock area I only remember two red chests and neither is anywhere you're just going to stumble over without going far out of your way. So either explore or be content without them.
The guns in BL2 bring back fond memories of my weapon tweaking in Forge for Marathon Infinity. A plasma rifle with zero accuracy and insane firerate that winds up shooting you sometimes? Done. A shotgun that shoots 30 bouncing grenades? Done. A rocket launcher that fires Exploda-Bobs? Done. A machine gun that fires other, smaller machine guns? Done. A pistol that fires nuclear Juggernaut explosions? Make it so.
Holy crap, it's like they're channeling John Romero's taste in weapons from Daikatana. Borderlands 2 is pro FPS CONFIRMED!
Oh no, those aren't guns I've found in BL2 (yet, I'm not putting anything past them at this point), just modded guns I made in Forge back in the day.
But if BL2 DOES have a gun that fires exploding angry midget psychos, I may have to declare my eternal love for Gearbox.
Also the Claptrap sidequest

There are also the long squarish ones that are white/grey. I've also foun some that look like the front end engine compartment of a beetle. The red chests themselves are rare, but chests are not.

For chest chests I've seen the old silver one, the old red one, new big red ones and two versions of Dahl chests. Then Hyperion has a standing chest, bandits have those two you mentioned....I'm blanking on more.
Still, it's nice that we have different chests. It will give those meticulous people more things to do to try and figure out the drop rates of each.

Are quest reward weapons generally a lot better than they were in BL1? I got this one after I accidentally solved the murder mystery quest in about 10 seconds..

Is there anything to do with money besides dump it in the slot machines or throw it at Moxxie?
I have not bought a single piece of gear from a vending machine all game and ammo costs are trivial If I ever need to buy it in the first place.

Early on (I am level 14 at the moment and this was probably around level 8) I found an assault rifle that fired rockets that did 183 points of Explosive dmg, complete with a 27 round magazine and scope. Anything within about a 5 foot radius of my rocket impact takes full damage. I am in love with this weapon. So in love.
A Capellan's favorite sheath for any blade is your back.
This is probably old news, but I just figured it out last night, so I'll go ahead and mention it. Did you guys know that if you Melee a Crystalisk in the weak spots on their legs, they instantly break? I didn't know that. They're always such a pain in the ass to kill with guns, because they're basically immune to damage in any place but their legs, and their final weak spot's always behind them. But yeah; you can just run up and 3-shot a Crystalisk. Each Melee swing breaks a leg.

Ive bought some grenade mods and I think a couple of shields, but mostly I throw it in the slot machine. Ive contemplated buying rocket ammo, but I think Im finally starting to find some.
I absolutely love Ellie. Things could have gone horribly wrong if they had treated her how I was expecting they would, but she's completely delightful.

Speaking of melee I really don't know why they gave Zero such pitiful range.
Not sure if I'm swinging a knife or a sword most of the time.
i have to say, starting off coop only has made me not want to solo as much. it is way funner with other people. i think i only played coop once with the first game
i think my next character is going to be a sal or mecho, i have not seen one sal yet which is weird sice it seemed like everyone wanted to be him.

Watching that IGN commentary video with Randy Pitchford:
The IGN guy climbs a rather tall structure, lots a chest and jumps off 70 feet to the ground. He asks Randy why there's no fall damage.
"Because it isn't fun. If you jumped off that building and got gibbed, would you be having more fun?"
"No."
"Exactly. You saw where you wanted to go, and you just, went there."

Okay, so Nova shields are definitely not a good idea. Not with so many shock and explosive and incendiary barrels freaking everywhere in this game. I'd thought that since I run into things a lot it'd help, but four deaths later, I'm rethinking it.

So I hit the Caustic Caverns for the first time last nite.
Holy Crap, that place is instant death waiting for you every 2 feet you move. But they must really have tuned up the drops in there, cuz I seriously upgraded all of my firepower. A Battle Ogre, a great Fire sniper rifle, Singularity grenades.
There are lots of barrels, and as usual, they remain more of a (hilarious) threat to the player than the enemy. I've been taking great pains to pop them wherever I see them.

I think I die more to random barrel explosions then bullets.

That doesn't always hold, though. Stupid invisible walls around the bloodshot camp. (Big Dam rescue quest). I'm on top of their palisade, if you let me take one single more step forward I'd be inside! no need for fancy cars or sidequests! Just one step!
I found my first purple! it's a bandit shotgun, fire elemental that shoots for shells at once.
I have converge with Maya so phase-lock sucks everyone in and i just unload that into the group... Everybody dies!

Semi-auto handcannon with a scope and fabulous accuracy. Lovely! Should be a nice backup for gunzerking with.
Yeah I got something similar for that quest. Great gun for that level.
