One of my first posts was in an OKCupid thread about how my best local match turned out to be my own sister. After that I was too embarassed to post for a few years which only made my post history even more embarassing.

My last relationship ended in me finding out the child I was raising wasn't mine, getting shot. Twice. Attacked with a machete by a friend of mine. And giving up my successful life in Chicago doing what I love so I could come home to this.

i have never ever ever seen a person of my age who married young and is still with their partner
I actually knew a really awesome couple who had started dating in high school, got married when they were like 19 or 20, and somehow in their 30s they had only grown closer together and were both super nice, outgoing open hearted super liberal people that love the outdoors and stayed really active together. Unfortunately she ended up dying a few years back from a brain tumor, but they were the young couple that managed to beat the odds, so to speak.
